Does anyone ring before going up?

I've notice most profiles display a mobile number.

Is this so you can phone up to see if they are available before you go up thus saving you time?

It's been a long wait but I finally get there next week!!!! Boy am I going to enjoy it

Some of my regular haunts i do phone up before i arrive?. The girls if they are free will usually turn the sign to say busy prior to my arrival?. Fresher i suppose?. This saves waiting and embarrasng loitering in the place?.
