I thought only recently that the building of the new casinos and hotels in Macau were stop due to cashflow problem of owners.

You are right. This is why this new one is a big deal for Macao. Someone is showing a little confidence. From what I read many construction sites will restart as well after some thourough re-structuring of their hurting parent companies.

Will make it the first stop on my next visit to Macau.

The seediness that I remember from Macau is already gone.  I just hope it remains how it is now on into the future, its still nice.

How many gamblers got there dreams when they go Macau?
Guess dream come true for the Big bosses and owner of Hotels, casinos and KTVs.

Everytime I go to Macau, I always plan to come back by helicopter if I win. Has not happened yet... :-)

But of course now everything is different. When I went to play in casinos City of Dreams was not opened yet. From now on I am sure that dream will get fulfilled ;-)

Macau need Chinese Government to relaxe policy on the chinese citizens visa to Macau,
or else how to fill up the casinos in the "City of Dream" with the millions chinese "dreamers".

See they use the "City of Dreams" instead "City of Reality". Full of dreamers....
Anyway, nowaday I prefer to spent my $$$ on something pretty, soft and I can cuddle, instead of chasing "chips"

Btw, I love to travel from Macau to HK by Helicopter too.

i was a guest at opening night (boss couldn't go so i took his place). boring program, nice fireworks display, more important, great facilities. dinner at the ballroom was so ho-hum i left before the first course and headed for the casinos. i spent several hours playing at the hard rock casino. and i'm normally bored after half an hour, an hour tops at a casino. hard rock casino's got a vibe to it, music is ok. crown towers is classy, but i ended up going back to hard rock. i think the hard rock casino's good -- attracts younger crowd, the atmosphere seems more fun. crown hotel seems good, but casino's ordinary. then again, crown casino's more for the so-called vip gamblers.
got very very close to picking up a hot filipina waitress and make it a perfect night, but for reasons i won't go into, it was not to be.
let's see how they are after a year, or six months. and i'll see if the waitress is still there...

I am sure we are not alone in this.. but clearly rather than "City of Dreams" I would call Macau "City of Sins". I am now officially enjoying sinning (I know.. my nickname here does not spell that out..)

Now I when I go to Macau, I skip the helicopter thoughts and the casinos all together. I now figured out a few dollars spent in D1 has a great return.. :-)

Mmm can't wait to visit, been waiting for it to come out, been to macau love the atmosphere! Will have to travel again at the end of the year!
