How safe / private is telegram?

So its been sometime since I last had some fun and my recent experience was all organized through telegram (something which is also fairly new to me).

Ive maxxed out my privacy settings and deleted all messages and photos I exchanged with the agent, but wonder how safe telegram is generally and how other bros clean up or delete message history etc? I dont have another burner phone and dont intend to do that as having another phome would attract to much attention !

Telegram’s solid if you use Secret Chats, encrypted and self-destructing. Regular chats? Not as safe, stored in the cloud. I max privacy settings, hide my number, and delete chats/media after. No burner phone, too sus. Clear cache often, stick to Secret Chats, and you’re good.

Telegram is pretty solid when it comes to privacy, especially with features like secret chats and self-destructing messages. Just make sure you're using end-to-end encryption (which is on by default for secret chats). You’ve already maxed out your privacy settings, which is good, but keep in mind that deleting messages on your side doesn't wipe them from the other person's device. As for cleaning up, you could try clearing your entire chat history regularly and using a disposable email for registration if you're concerned about it. And yeah, if you're not using a burner phone, just stay cautious about what info you share or store in chats.
