A request for help - Short-time Hotels List?

Brothers,

I was wondering if anyone had a list of short-time hotels in Hong Kong.  I know of a few in Wan Chai and one in Central, but I'm pretty sure that there must be others around.  I'm particularly interested in the Tai Koo area, but if anyone has a full-list all over, it'd be great.

Here's a start to the list, please add if you know of others:
-- Wan Chai --
Ming Court, Hotel Beverly, Victoria Hotel. Ming Court (Minimum charge $130) is likely the most frequented and the cheapest where as Victoria (Minimum charge $240) is the most expensive. Beverly (Minimum chage $192) is in between.

-- Causeway Bay --
There are 5-6 in the building directly behind the Lee Garden on Lee Garden Road. They charge around $120-150 for two hours and about $400 for all night.

-- North Point --
Ibis Hotel

-- Central --
Eden Love Hotel

Anyone know of any near Tai Koo?

Much obliged,
BK

ps - I hear the Metropark has really good rates right now.  lol

Good post - hope to see some responses - you have all my own (rather shorter) list though!!  Can definitely endorse the Eden - very nice treat for a lady (and her guy!).

In CWB, did you mean Phoenix Appartments in Lee Garden Rd??

I guess Pheonix is one, there are a bunch of other "guest houses" next to the PCCW building, but I don't know the rates and names of all of them.

I've really only been to a couple in Wan Chai.  If anyone has more information, or a suggestion of where to look, I would be greatful - and hopefully others can use this in the future!

There are a lot of motel type places in the Lee Garden area but most are clean but very old,
went to one of them once and although its really cheap I wouldn't go there again !

Hotel Victoria in Tin Hau is one of the best short stay places on HK side ... much better then the one in Wanchai,
@ same pice.

I don't think I've seen any motels in the Quarry Bay area - not a mongering destination ...

Is the Eden in central still a short stay place ? ... I heard recently they changed it to a hotel renting by the day ...
might have heard wrong ????

Hi Twice, I can definitely confirm Eden is hourly!!

Yes, they do publish a daily rate on their website though.  Must be for the image and the extra business - it is actuallya nice hotel in a good location.

But if you walk in in the evening, they give you the hourly rate-card not the daily one!
And I gather they have a discreet back entrance where your driver can drop you off - not sure where but will check it out one of these days.

Can't compare to Victoria - but it's much better than a place in Kowloon Tong I tried.

Found this link in the archiver.  Obviously a previously asked question, but still a good one to have an answer for:

Just HK side?

If it is in Kowloon I believe Mongkok had the highest concentration of walk up Love Hotels. They are no way compared to Eden (which is great for the value and a LKF slaughterhouse hahahahahaha).

Isnt Kowloon Tong the Love Hotel center?

Yes, you must - take a GF or your fave FB.  She'll appreciate it more than a typical HK rentabed.

But a WG wd probably prefer to have you take a cheaper place and give her the cash in hand!

Tried Corinne in KLT - was OK and may go again, but a bit tired-looking - defo basic compared to Eden.

You know, maybe we should start doing reports on the LHs - a different angle!!
Scoring could be:-

Cleanliness & Supplies: */5
Condition of Fittings: */5
Extras (TV, ambiance, toys): */5
Convenient location: */5
Discreet entrance: */5
Value: */5
Retry: */5

I have been to Eden ones and booked a suite for 3 hours. The rate was something like 1.3 K (but I don't remember exactly).
Anyway, the suite was great, bed area with mirror all around and a very big bathroom with shower and a jacuzzi. It was so good having her in CG while enjoying the water massage of the Jacuzzi !

Sounds great.    We should defo have a review!!  How would you rate the suite on points?

If I remember rightly, a regular room is 280 or 350 or so for 2hrs depending on if it's a weekend or weekday etc.

wouldn't count on much in tai koo area.  if i'm not mistaken, that area and quarry bay are highly residential/commercial, w/ biz mainly consisting of office buildings, restaurants or malls.  nothing in the way of hotels out there.
