Foot Massage

Foot Massage in China

Yeah, they're cheap and many people like to get them to kill 30 to 40 minutes.

Yeah, they're great after hours of walking in the heat.

Yeah, you relax, watch TV, and let a girl massage your feet, soles, and legs.

I've had 4 foot massages in China and ....

didn't like having my feet, soles, toes massaged.  To me, it's like ... not pleasurable

Is it just me, or are others also sensitive in his feet?

I don't like it either, but it does kill time.  Feet are sensitive too, but I think it's because there's nothing wrong with my feet.  No foot pain, etc.  I don't go to a footsie place with reflexology so they can't tell me it has to do with my internal organs.

OTOH, my friends love footsies.  I only like it when they massage my legs, back and shoulders.

It's partly a matter of your sensitivity, and partly the masseuse's.

She should be able to adjust the pressure to make it easy for you.

But it's certainly been my experience that the first few times were excruciatingly painful (fortunately I'd been warned) - mainly the result of working through tension I'd been carrying for years and had become numb to.

The more often yougo, the looser your feet become, and the more comfortable it becomes (both during and after).

But it will still hurt as that lactic acid gets squeezed out, both from the pressure on your hardened muscles and from the acid flowing back through your veins ... not to mention the other parts of your body that are getting stimulated in unaccustomed ways, by the pressure on the nerves in your feet!

i think the key thing is to stay relaxed.  if you tense up your feet then the massage will be bad, but i think most people tense up because it tickles / they think it will tickle.  regardless of the massage, if it's longer than 30 minutes, i'll always pass out.

Any recommendations for some good places for foot massage in TST or HK? Good as in best value for your money. I kinda dig getting foot massages. My feet are not so ticklish and I find it very relaxing.

I like the foot massage anytime I can get one.  You do a lot of walking in HK and CN too and plus it's good if you play sports as well.  Sure..it can hurt a little at times...but tell them to adjust the pressure...do what I do..and just learn to accept the pain.  I sometimes try to see how much pain I can tolerate.  Even though it hurts like hell at the moment, it feels pretty damn good afterwards...but yes be prepared for the lactic acid which will make you feel sore the next day.

I once had a foot massage that was for 90 minutes....and the girl had asked me something I couldn't understand but I just say "yeah" anyways" ..ended up getting an extra hour...WTF...was like 2 hrs before I realized it.   What I want to try is the thigh vein massage some of you guys have been talking about.

there's a place on the northeast corner of Nathan Rd and Austin Rd.  It's on the second floor and entrance is on Nathan road about 1 or 2 storefronts up.  They have a sign - you'll definitely see it.  They've got about a 20 people working there at any given time.  These guys are consistently good and I've seen a good mix of locals and tourists there.

if price is not a consideration, there are a ton of places in Soho near the escalator and in Happy Valley.  Places like Happy Foot, Fun Foot, etc.

i like strong foot massages, and i always give the reflexologists feedback until they get it right.  usually hurts, but i always feel so much better afterwards.  now if we could only find a hot young WG who could give a good foot massage.  i'd be in heaven!
