That's one job that's hard to beat for job satisfaction Punting is good for you. Not sure if it's doing the wallet any good though!

#8 Post at 21-6-2007 15:55  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L I can study other regions outside of HK, even as an 'academic'.  In undergrad BA I studied the economics of prostitution and human migration in East Asia.  Couldn't get grant for 'field studies' for grad school though so made hobby instead of academic career.

#11 Post at 25-6-2007 22:28  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L In sociology class, a decade ago, I did presentation on 'Japanese sexuality'... showed videos of high school girls and explained Japanese fixation with lolita complex and related perversions. Got at least 3 written complaints and 5 verbal complaints from other students to the prof (that I heard about or received copies of), out of a class of just 25.  I also got an A+, prof thought it was well-researched and I had obviously shown an interest in my research topic... haahaa of course I had...    purely academic of course

#13 Post at 27-6-2007 19:05  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L They were left-wing feminist sociology majors!!  There was no chance of winning them over with a presentation about Japanese sexuality unless I cut off some Japanese guys dick... but my scissors weren't that small     Though there might have been some bitterness, as my presentation kicked ass and their's were snooze-fest-poluza, even the prof fell asleep!!
