Wonder how the current economic crisis or recession has impacted on your hobbying in Macau. Are you forced to go there less because of money problems or there is no money issue and you still go there as usual?

Of course, but the Macau economy needs you brothers to prop up as well. For the sake of value it is certainly more tempting to go to the Mainland to get more bang for the buck, so to speak. But I wonder if the current recession has kept more brothers from coming to Macau instead?

I agree with you in principle. But I just don’t see that happening in reality, particularly in Macau. Many will say quite the opposite is happening here.

Go less and make more use of GFs there... Also would like to have some cheaper options over the border.

Absolutely. I had also seen fewer girls probably due to new visa rules. The prices in Macau have either been kept or gone up (just look at the steady increase of prices in D1 and 18). In times of recession, I don’t see economics 101 is being understood here. And it's about time for brothers to demand more value or some type of boycott will ensue.

Yes, but you guys are always going to the 18 or the Rio or the D-1, there are other options that are cheaper.  Maybe I'm in a different position as I live in the States and I find a lot of Chinese chicks to be very pretty, all day long walking around in HK or Macau is pretty girls.  So in Macau if i visit a 200 MOP brothel, and there is a pretty girl there, I'm super happy.  Some of the girls I see at the massage places are just a little bit too made up for my taste, I kind of like the fresh look.  The interesting thing I noticed in Macau is that like at the London Hotel, the first time I banged a chick there it was 300 MOP, that was in 2002.  The last time I banged a chick there, in 2006/7 it was still 300 MOP.  Just like at the Rubi pension.  The prices have gone up in a long time.

But to answer your question, the world economic crisis won't effect me.  My trips are only twice a year and I've never spent more than 6 nights in Macau while on vacation.  Also as the MOP and the dollar are basically pegged, currency fluctuations aren't an issue.

the recession affects a lot zhuhai area, even few months ago business drop down at ktv and sauna. And now many casino (crown, Starworld...) force their staff to take 2 days or more no pay holidays per month (which mean more than 6% salary cut)
so i think macanese will go less often to zhuhai than before, and the high currency rate of rmb is also a con

It seems a movement of demanding more bangs for the buck should be in order. Two hour session is a great idea. But I'm afraid it'll be a uphill battle because I remember at D1 when I tried to use my VIP card that promised a free 0.5 hr extension on top of the 1.5 hr session and asked for such a small freebie. The management flatly refused it and completely disregarded their own promise. So what is the chance they will listen to some noise on the internet this time?

If the recession that has been upgraded by some to depression has no effect on brothers' hobby, then I don't see much hope of price slashes in Macau in the foreseeable future.
