I doubt its true for the English forum. The amount of Chinese speaking mongers probably highly exceeds the non-Chinese speaking mongers. There is little incentive for anyone to pay to remove from this forum. It probably is true for the Chinese website.

Follow up question: How common is it for Chinese speakers to flat out ignore the Chinese reviews section and jump to the english because of fake reviews?

wouldn't surprise me at all if some guys were trying to get favours from girls in return for good reviews ... but as far as negative reports goes, the community definitely does demand proof of allegations (especially STDs), and the level of immediate close scrutiny provides protection against manipulation by ghost writers.

Yes, I believe the english forum is quite safe. After all, if you've been reading these forums, there's really a relatively small group of consistent posters who have developed their reputation over the years. And when there is a faker, he is called out quickly.

Hate to say it, but in the spirit of the Hong Kong culture, I'm not at all suprised they will always try to make a quick buck off anyone they can - even if it means ruining it for everyone else.

Let's keep this forum tight and secure so we can all enjoy for years to come.

It is nearly blackmail and fraud to do such a thing and it renders the forum completely useless. It is shooting one's self in the foot. Who wants to read and participate in a completely rigged rating system and risk wasting hard earned cash. Guys will stop using and reading it and the site will lose revenue. How short sighted can these guys be?

There were even seniors on this forum who wrote favourable reports for certain agents - felt more like advertising than anything else. Glad they are gone now.

WTF?! Can't believe such "business model" is being pulled off. on the other side i shouldn't be surprised by the 'creativity' of some folks.

As far as the English side goes, we welcome all reports good or bad.
We do not delete bad reports.
But if someone accuses a girl of STD, then this is a serious allegation and proof is needed.
But of course plagiarized etc... will have punishment.

My hope is that those that do write reports for the English forum, just report the truth and provide info that can help others. And are not getting paid for it!

There are a lot of 'writers' for the Chinese forum.
Putting aside HG's and the agent reports...
I'm not sure 141 girls are 'forced' to pay for good reviews...
For 141 girls, there are quite a few girls with so many reports its quite ridiculous...
In fact some of the best 141 girls have just between 0 and 10 reports total... over several years... and that's it.
Whereas you see some with up to 40+... even over several years, I am skeptical about these girls.
I do not know if they are required to pay writers or even give them service for these reports or if they write them themselves.
But the facts speak for themselves... if you're good, then you're good, and you don't need to pay for good reports.
If you're just mediocre... then that maybe a different story as you need inventive ways to attract attention.

I have though, heard stories of people going up to the doors and asking (threatening) for cheaper service or free service or else they will write a bad report or something like that. Shitty people exist unfortunately...

The most disturbing part about the news report was the bit about "writers'" posting false bad reports in order to extract cash to write a new good report and the web site requiring the girls to pay to have "bad" reports removed. That is just nasty.

I am sure that the english forums are not affected as the majority of punters are chinese people and chinese is their main language. Many WGs are scared of non chinese anyways which majority uses the english forum so i dont think it will affect us

Frankly, I am shocked that this website/forum is exploiting and abusing the WGs like that.  These are their paying clients!  Their largest source of income by far!  Yet, because the gals cant do a damn thing about it 141 is fucking abusing them even more.  This IS Blackmail, extortion, fraud.  Making them pay to delete an unverified (and unverifiable) bad review --- and actually offering ghostwriters to write good ones for a further payment.  Maybe the Admin writes the crap himself.  Fuck me!!  Assholes.  

Up until I read this I might not have liked everything 141 did and certainly disliked the fake-report practices on the Chinese side.  But I never considered them evil enough that I wouldnt use their service (this forum).

Now, I am not sure...  the site is now fucking us over aswell - with all the fake reviews (either fake good ones, or fake bad ones).

No wonder the Mods have begun vanishing.  Most of them seem to have a conscience.

Well when I saw this "piece" of writing I thought for sure that I finally had something to pull 141 down over. I was wrong, This article is only a half truth.I asked quite a few girls that are on 141, they all had the same story. They pay their fees to the web site for the page they have and thats it. 141 has never asked for any extra payment to remove posts. In fact they quite firmly refuse to remove anything, if asked by the girls. It is in fact agents or as they should be called pimps, of the hotel girls. They post false reports then call posing as a 141 agent to get cash. They also use this as a threat,"work for me or I put you out of business". There you have it "Bros" the truth. Something different for a change
