Taiwan legalising prositution

Happier punting for all in Taiwan from now on!

http://news.yahoo.com/taiwan-mak ... ones-094756100.html

Not clear where these new red-light zones are located.  Anyone else can share any more details on this?

P.S.Mods, can there be a Taiwan board for reports?

$1660 fine for pimps?  That's hardly a deterrent ... unless it's per case

@ SEAJ, was thinking to post in News, but the report is relevant to WGs in Rest Of World, and the board does say "International reports, Q&A, and discussions"

If a mod thinks it doesn't belong here, then please move into news.  Was just trying to get the topic seen by those interested in punting in Taiwan.

Doing some extra reading on the subject, seems that these red light districts need to be opened by the local authority of each district.  So at the moment, none are open, which means that any other prostitution is still illegal.

What's interesting is that the reports state that only the girls get charged.  Punters are in the clear.  Is that right??

".. "International reports, Q&A, and discussions"..." WHERE does it say that?

This section is a subsection entitled "Rest of the World" under the "Working Girl Reports" section. Reports - get it??  Reports and not discussion whilst there is a distinct subsection "News" just for  news article like yours.

Sheesh...!

Please contribute to the thread rather than trollin me.  You could say all this in a PM and not disrupt the board.

You asked "where does it say that?"  Please click on http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/index.php
Read the descriptions of the boards.  The HK boards are listed for reports ONLY.  The Rest Of The World board says "International Reports, Q&A, and discussions"

As aforementioned, if a mod wishes to move it to news, then it's fine by me.  I just placed it where I thought it was relevant for other bros.

To come back to the topic, seems like the law has been approved, but the details of where is will be has not been decided yet.

They will have some red-light district where prostitution will be authorized. But outside of those dedicated zone, if something happens, the girl, the client and the prostitute will alll 3 be fined. Seems like it's becoming like Singapore.

Local governments? Well I think local governments will find it difficult getting local support to have red zones. It seems as they provide the ability to allow red zones but now are going to punish more those who engage in such activities outside the new red zones than before?

This article seems to show that they have brought in new penalties for providers and customers, except in almost non-existent red light zones which can only be set up by local governments.

As one advocate said deciding the location of a red light district is "not like setting up a nuclear power plant"
