Looks like San Jose police are finally cracking down on the sexy Vietnamese coffee shops in the area that are offering more than just sugar with their Joe.

While on patrol Sunday evening, SJPD officers observed several female waitresses showing off a little too much skin, in one of the shops on the 1600 block of Tully Road.

Three female workers of the Quyen Cafe, ages 22, 22, and 23,  were identified and cited for display of public nudity, a municipal code violation.

They were only cited, not arrested, but will still have to appear in court.

"The police department is aware that some establishments have had employees working as waitresses or bartenders while semi-nude or topless," Officer Jose Garcia told the Merc.

We brought you the story back in June, about how several Vietnamese coffee shops were getting complaints from spouses of some patrons, for hosting a strip-club-like atmosphere.

At the time, police said there was little they could do unless the shops were breaking human-trafficking, or underage laws.

Officials have been mulling over ways to get the coffee shops to cool down the hot coffee, and the Cafe may end up being cited down the line.

There are about 20 similar shops in the three-square-mile area of San Jose.

I used to travel to Cal a lot but was before naked coffee shops kicked in. Don't get down there at all any more. Seems like OC is worth a visit though from what I am reading.  

Most my travel that direction is to Las Vegas and man there are some amazingly beautiful women there. Difficult to even get through the airport without serious distractions. Whole town is one big Disneyland for men.

I live only about 15 kilometers from where all the Vietnamese coffee shops are.  All are tease only designed to get customers in.  Of course, most of the customers are Viet dudes.  Since there is a pretty heavy Viet gang presence in this area, most non-Viet guys tend to not try and go further with these chicks.

There is a site that has lots more info including rating on these coffee shops.  I am new and am not sure if I should post other sites on this board but I think you can find it easily on google.  I am not an expert at them, just gone to one once.  Everything I know is from reading and rumors.  I have never read or heard concrete evidence that anything more than a tease goes on at these shops, only unconfirmed rumors from unreliable sources.  The police raid is not unusual since the city needs funding.  All the shops were open for business as usual the next day, even the one that was raided.

In my opinion, what i have heard and beleive, there is NO action there.  It's just to bring in customers ( business ).

Went once on a business trip, seems to be all a tease and being alone in a new area I didn't want to get into any trouble hitting on the wrong chick.
