My SO reminded me of the movie as she wants to go too. She wants to see if the boobs get the 3D treatment too.

Unfortunately my SO gets jealous if my eyes even glance at the poster when walking past

There's no way she'd go with me to see it.  I'm hoping that one or two of my female "friends" will be in HK and will be up to going to see it though, but it's not that likely.

I actually spent about 4 hours trying to download it from here, only to find out that it was the original 1990s Sex and Zen, and not the 2011 version

Maybe not... now that I look more closely at the poster, the date is wrong.  It says 2010, and the cast list order is different to other posters.  Also, I can only find "Sucker Punch" listed for IMAX cinemas on the UA website

U wont see it 3D in home unless u got a 3D TV and the torrent is a 3D bluray....

is it softcore? that's disappointing, considering the JAV girls that are in it...

there were several softcore 3D films in the 70s--the new technology is better. this film won't be shown uncensored in China and enterprising tour companies are running tours into HK from the mainland that bus 'em in, include a ticket, and i guess bus 'em out. maybe take them to jewelry shops first?

of course it's softcore: this is a big-budget HONG KONG film. Hong Kong has been using Taiwanese and Japanese actresses for nude scenes from 70s Shaw Brothers films to the 90s and "Naked Killer." if u want JAV there's only about eighteen billion titles to choose from...3D is the sole remaining surefire way to put bums on seats in a cinema. u can book tickets for Hong Kong screenings online and have been able to for weeks. haven't checked availability.

In the today's (16 April 2011) South China Morning Post, the 3D Sex & Zen ($2.7 mil) took in more money on its 1st day viewing than 3D Avatar (HK$2.5 mil) on its 1st day viewing. Over 30,000 ppl saw the movie.

Plus because there were so many requests from women viewers who wanted to see the movie but not be surrounded by men, two sold-out "Ladies Only" screenings were held at Times Square and Langham Place. Additional "Ladies Only" screenings will be held over the Easter holiday. I wonder if any of the ushers for these "Ladies Only" screenings are men. It would have been fascinating to watch (or hear) what a full theatre of women would do (or say) during the movie. Who knows maybe these ushers got propositions right after the movie ended.

I can imagine all the walkups around Langham Place, Mongkok to be very busy for the next few weeks as the horny guys walk out of the cinema after watching the flick.

there are a lot of horny guys in the world so i wont be surprise that in china it beat another movie at the box office

I hope this movie comes to America.  I don't know which theatre that has 3D capability will actually play this movie though.
