What's your favorite sports drink?

To regain your energy after a long day, or a good session.  What you prefer to drink?
Since there are so many different options, everything from soda, to that weird
stuff in the shops.  I'd like to hear what you would prefer.

is this supposed to be a poll? what are our choices? for me personally i stay away from those energy sodas, like red bull, full throttle, etc. they are ok when i take them, but when i come off their high, it gets me really low.

having said that, i do favour gatorade still as one of the best replenishers after a grueling sporting event.

Agree with indefine; Gatorade does it for me after exercise - especially after a lot of sweating in the summertime.

i enjoy gatorade as it has enough electrolytes to re-hydrate me whenever i am playing sports such as basketball... i have a few sips of it and have a few gulps of water as well to quench my thirst. =]

If i need the extra push, red bull will do and keep me energized. But if im feeling a bit dry down my throat or had been sweating for a while then definitely gatorade. Ergo Gatorade = Thirst Quench and Red Bull = The Recharger

Mate, i used to drink that electrolytes stuff. was ok.

But ive been hitting the gym and drinking this concoction. This has increased my recovery by atleast 50%. its amazing.

- Low fat milk
- Natural Yoghurt
- tablespoon of rolled oats
- 30g of protein powder (MDC)
- 1 banana

I bought a sheffield rocket blender off ebay for $35us.

I highly recommend anyone working out to go to the effort of making this drink. The recovery is phenominal. Ive been the fittest in my life thanks to this. I do 7-8km runs twice a week and im fresh the next day.

Redbull and caffeine is fine.

I did some research, coffee is fine in moderation. Infact its beneficial. but dont have more than 4 cups of coffee a day because it becomes detrimental and you start tapering out and start having withdrawl.

I only use redbull on big nights out. It works, but just becareful of overdoing the caffine like i said above.

Another fantastic pill is L-Carnetine. This is like a natural caffeine boost. Ive noticed slight improvements with my workout
