See the risk of sexual activities!!!

http://healthnurse.wordpress.com ... th/sti-risks-chart/

Hey guys, chart was provided by a health nurse on PERB.CA a mongering site for Canadians.

A health nurse has provided a chart stating the risk of catching certain STD's for certain activities!

Thought this would be useful info after reading the " STD AND YOU" thread.

Thanks for the information, but news article go in the news section now.

No human to human contact is risk free.

Just waiting for the full body condom now.

Thanks for the informative link.

That doesn't bode well for two of my favorite activities(BBBJ and to a slightly lesser extent DATY)

Well, the more knowledgeable we are about the subject, the better off we'll be. I would surmise that the two biggest risks in doing what we do are catching some sort of STI/STD and/or having the wife/girlfriend/SO/family find out about our mongering activities.

It's easy enough to bury your head in the sand and not think about the risks of the former but that's basically playing with a loaded gun. By educating ourselves and practicing relatively safe sex, we'll hopefully allow ourselves to continue enjoying this activity for a very long time.

Cheers again for posting the info.

Interesting article.

Syphilis is high risk according to this for virtually everything including DFK!

It says high risk means that infection is easily transmitted this way, but doesn't quantify what that means.

My quick googling didn't find many nice estimates for syph in asia, although I did see one page quoting 4% in cambodia in 1999.  Let's say it's even 2% for SEA WGs at any time.  The forum poll shows less than 1% of punters have ever had syph.

My hand wavy facts don't quite it sound like a HIGH high risk for DFK.

I asked my private sex doc, who has been treating just sex stuff here in HK for a long time, what do you see.  He replied fair bit of CT, some GC and some scabies.  Interesting also never a case of HIV.

Of course this is all my non-professional interpretation.

Well, the information provided by the link above was provided by a nurse who is part of the administration monitoring www.perb.ca another mongering site for Canadians in Vancouver and other urban centers

I just thought it'd be informative to let the bro's out there know about the risk involved with each activity. Of course, each person's interpretation of the info is to their own discretion.

But like stage6 said, it's all about having fun! and staying safe =) and hopefully that'll lead to years of playing in the field. No one likes to retire early right!?

Oh and, bcs74   . . . I think the premise of the risk factor is based on transmission of diseases from bodily fluids. basically, from my point of view is that any time there is bodily fluids (precum, vaginal fluids) or whatever there is risk. But i'm not an expert either. . . but it makes sense that std's can transmit from internal fluids?

From reading the threads, most of the bro's seem to enjoy the bbbj at the beginning of the session.  Knowing what we know now, I wonder how many bros would change their mind and opt for thecbj.

i can't see how anyone on this forum can not know that BBBJ and DATY are risky!

What needs to be more talked about is contamination before and during putting the dom on. Just say you've been giving the WG a finger or two whiel she is BBBJ and then go and put a condom on withe same hands there is a chance that her vaginal fluids can get onto your dick. That's a good reason to let the WG put dom on, but this equally applies to a civvie.

Agreed. It seems that most of the reports talk favorably when BBBJ is given at the beginning and less favorably(with some disappointment thrown in as well) when we need to "settle" for a CBJ(I'm no different, I abhor CBJ's)

Will I change my behavior knowing what the risks are? That's a good question that I can't give a definitive answer on. I know I "should" say yes and follow through on that but when I'm lying on the bed with a beautiful girl in front of me offering to blow me bare, do I think that I'll have the backbone to tell her "no thanks, CBJ for me please"? If I'm being honest, I would say the chances are slim to none that I would do that.

reggid - I don't think it's that we were not aware that BBBJ and DATY are risky. I guess we didn't realize that it was a high risk for many things including syphilis. Of course this is just the information from one source so we're not entirely sure how accurate it is

Agree also.  I always put the dom on myself.

Also things to be careful off, little cuts on your face from a recent shave, brushing your teeth just before punting giving a little bit of bleeding gums etc...

It's interesting that you mention brushing teeth. I do try and do that before a session where possible. Reason is that I very much enjoy DFK with a girl. It really brings the experience to a different level and I don't want the girl to have to DFK if I don't have fresh breath. I know the few times I've tried DFK with someone with morning breath, it wasn't pleasurable at all
