Privacy App for Android, any suggestions?

OK I finally fell - bought a nice piece of electronic bling ... and really want to know ...

... can anyone recommend a really good privacy app for Android?

I've seen a few apps that do some of what I want, but I want to tap into the collective wisdom here before spending a lot of time testing options ...

I'm sure I'm not the first person to want:-

  Hiding one or more contacts
Intercepting and blocking calls from one or more contacts
Intercepting and hiding SMS from specific contacts
Intercepting and hiding whatsapp / viber / tango

Any suggestions???

Anonymous browsing and clearing browsing history and cache, and
  hidden file storage
would be a plus, but I'm taking those as a given these days.

Wasn't sure whether to post this in Q&A or in veggie, but I figure this has a LOT to do with punting, so I put it here!

I use Hide It Pro. Not sure about the phone stuff as my Galaxy Tab is just the Wi-Fi version, but it's great for hiding files. It's got an app disguise to make it look like an audio manager. And it's free (with baner ads while in the app). It's in the android market. Hope this helps

I am using an Xperia Arc, and there are two ways to protect yourself on this phone (I'm not sure about yours), but unfortunately, you can't use them together

1:  If you have a contact in your phone that you don't want to call you... go to their contact information and click "edit contact".  At the bottom you'll find a tick-box called "Send calls directly to voicem"

This is great, because there won't even be a flashing light if they call you, but it will still log the call in your missed calls list (even if they don't leave a voicemail) so you can see which of your girls has called you. You'll still need to double check your call log before handing the phone over to your Mrs though

The funny thing about forwarding calls to voicemail is that the girls don't know that you're filtering out their calls, and they think your phone is off.  When you call them back they'll be surprised as they were trying to contact you.  You can tell them that you didn't know, and that it's coincidence (fate/6th sense) that you called on the same day   Three girls have fallen for it already

2:  The second feature that I always use, and it might work on other Android phones, is the syncronised Google contacts feature.  You can arrange your contacts into groups on the Google Contacts web-page.  Then, on your phone, choose to only display contacts from the group "My Contacts", and make sure that none of your girls are in that group.  Then, when you want to search for your girls' or agents' numbers, just go into your phone's contact list, select to display the contacts group "hobbying" (for example), and all your girls' and agents' numbers will magically appear.  Deselect it, and all the contacts disappear again

The problem is, if you're hiding the girls' numbers with method 2, you can't block them with method 1

Anyway, I'm guessing the developers at Sony Ericsson have a secret or two as well, otherwise they wouldn't be so considerate as to include these features as standard

Thanks bro!  Will check out the Google contact groups, that's a great tip.

FYI I tried, and then uninstalled an app which was OK at catching SMS but not at blocking calls.

Now am using Extreme Call Blocker Invisible
https://market.android.com/detai ... ature=search_result

It covers:
  blocking calls from contacts,
and also diverts SMS into a password protected private area
and both call blocking and private SMS are behind an invisible password system

They're also responsive, immediately replied to a function I suggested, they say they will incorporate it in a future release.  5* rating.
