Hong Kong hotel deals going cheap

Hi Crew,

I often use Asiarooms to book my hotels for my Asian escapades and was just checking out some rates today and they have some pretty good deals going at the moment.

See here.

If you're planning a trip to HK in the near future it might be worth checking this site out when comparing hotel prices. I'm not sure how long these deals are on for, but there's some pretty significant discounts at some of the higher end establishments which will leave you more $$$ to spend on girls .

Moderators please shift this thread if i've posted it in the wrong place.

Cheers

Cecil

This is far from cheap.  Most people can get much better deals using their local travel agent via large HK tourist agencies.  Take the Royal plaza in prince edward, it's 141USD on a typical weekday, I can get the same room for about 800HKD, and at times 700HKD via my travel agent during this time of year.  For 141USD I can probably stay at the Langham Place.

Does your agent give better deal when you buy plane ticket + hotel? Does your agent sell the Macau's sauna packages also? =D

not really.  u can look it up the plane tix yourself. Not sure where you are located...or look up the chinese newspaper for deals to hk.  doesn't hurt to ask for pricing for hotels.

Then call HK travel agency for hotel prices & packages, they seem to get good rates if you know where you wanna stay. I used wing on travel for packages in the past which is a larger company which had good prices.  For packages, I just faxed all my US documents over

Can anyone PM their travel agent to me?  I'll be going back to HK end of October for 10 days and will need 3 rooms.  Trying to find something that's clean and no funny business/monger because my 2 younger girl cousins will be going with me.

Thanks in advance

local agents are your best bets.  As far as websites goes, China Travel Agency has decent rates.

Priceline has good rates as well if you know what you're doing bidding-wise. Many of the reported hotels center on a couple of hotels, notably the Eaton in Kowloon and Cosmo in HK.

I don't think the rates on asiarooms.com is that cheap. I usually use agoda.com fro HK hotel bookings, as they seem to have the best rates.

Just for info, I like www.hotelclub.com and would recommend it.

The prices are reasonable and their 'member-program' is excellent. I get about 5% of every booking back to redeem on other bookings.

They have a 'last minute' site - http://lm.hotelclub.net/ which has some better prices.

agoda is usually the cheapest, and i find that WIFI hotel acutally works quite well for some action.  rooms are not soo big, but brand new, comfy bed, nice shower set up, big flatscreen, and free wifi.  booked on agoda couple months back for just 420hkd per night.

to give you some idea, I note on your web site the Holiday Inn is US$240 and I am paying US$130/nite. Seems expensive.

Local agents are always the best.  My best best deal was 2 years ago in January, I paid 850 USD for Cathay Pacific direct flight from NYC to HK plus 7 days, 6 nights at a 3 star hotel that normally costs about 500-800 HKD per night.  I'll pm the bros who want the travel agent info, in NYC Chinatown, they all use the same HK agent to rebook their flights and stuff, so almost any NYC Chinatown agent will do since all the prices are more or less identical.  I also paid a little more for the Langham Place which costs significantly more, I think it was 200USD more total for 4 nights added to the package.  It's impossible to beat local prices online IMHO.

that is an amazing deal.
i've called some of the chinatown agencies but didn't have the same luck as you.
The best i would get is about $10 cheaper thank kayak on the flight.
i'd be lucky just to get a flight under $900

I don't ask for the deals, it's just whenever I pass by, I look at the flyers that are taped up on the windows.  There are always deals for Sept thru April, it's May to the beginning of august that costs an arm and a leg.
