Wonderful place, Hong Kong.

Well.. I think the most amazing city in Asia is Hong Kong!

Great jobs, nice restaurants, good nightlife and hot(and cheap) girls..

Hope I'll be livin' in Hong Kong next year.

Ciao~

Oh.. btw, what's the best way to get a sim card in Hong Kong?

For now, I regularly visit Hong Kong every month..
I stay around 3~4 days...
And I want a Hong Kong SIM card now... (I use an iphone without country lock.. so I use data a lot..)

What's my best option over there?
Can anyone give me some comments?

Suggest you just sign up for a regular plan.  Can be less than US$10/month and you get to keep your number, which is important if you're gonna be connecting with girls.  For example Smartone has a HK$56/month plan that gets you 600 minutes a month.  http://www.smartone-vodafone.com ... s/english/index.jsp

Less than a week away before my first visit to HK.  Needless to say I'm giddy as a schoolgirl with excitement.  I'd love to land a job in that part of the world and just take some time to explore everything (especially the ladies).

why don't you just buy a prepay sim card. once the credit is used,
just top up again at the nearest seven -eleven store.

no need for credit cards etc... also dont have to worry about it been lost
while punting.

It depends on how frequently he uses the card and how important it is to keep the same number.  After a while pre-paid sims expire if not used/topped up, and his number is lost.  Also, if he does lose the card, he can't replace it with the same number whereas if he has a plan he can get a replacement with the same number.

Koreanische, I've never tried to get one without a HK address but I'm pretty sure my first sim plan was applied for with an international credit card.  Do you have any friends in HK with an address you can use?

Well.. there would be some addresses that I could use in HK..
I'm going to HK 2 weeks later then I'll figure out something..
I really need the data plan as well.. So I think prepaid sim cards are not enough for me..
Also I want a permanent number.

koreanische...another option is if you have friend in HK open you a line on their account and then the issue of needing a HK address is solved.  If not PCCW has a decent deal:

http://www2.pccwmobile.com/porta ... ;cid=level_2ID0_2_2 or one 2 free

http://one2free.hkcsl.com/jsp/se ... ee_service_plan.jsp

then you may want to look at these plans from vodaphone http://www.smartone-vodafone.com ... h/internetplans.jsp
