During the heyday of this forum, we got a lot of drama (SEAJ), a lot of christmas cracker jokes (twiceaweek), a lot of beautiful WG photos (Cass), a lot of food photography (Devilgodspeed), a lot of detective work ("Tell me the colour of the wallpaper there." "Green?" "You are banned!"), a lot of IT detective work ("Don't ask me how I know but members XXX and YYY are the same person, you are banned!") and a lot of drama (SEAJ, oh I have mentioned that already haven't I)....
During the heyday of this forum, no member told WGs about us or showed them our reports. No WG could read English anyway. So, this forum was a truly secret society and members communicated in a coded language (English). Today, many WGs have better English than mine. Many members use information about this forum (and its members) to gain favours from their WG. Secret society no more.
During the heyday of this forum, newbies were more supported and the threshold for climbing up the rank was lower.
zebra covers up a lot of my thoughts. I registered here 11 years ago now. I'd been lurking for a year before that. Some other thoughts...
- I missed what happened with SEAJ. I wasn't here regularly when whatever happened. All I know is that one day he was gone. I liked his posts.
- Cass had the best photos. Always gorgeous Thai girls too. It was his reports that got me interested in Thai girls.
- devilgodspeed always had blog style reports with local food and sites. I began styling my reports after his.
- Unfortunately there was a lot of drama between frequent posters from 2015 to 2017. Some great posters left from this.
- Climbing the RA ranks was a lot tougher and the requirements higher.
- There were a lot more reports on places like 37 Dundas and 311 Portland. I think these places cater more to Chinese speaking locals but they're still the best value in Hong Kong.
- Girls were more open to having photos and videos taken.
- The Chinese forum was a treasure trove of photos. Drama on that side, various changes of ownership/mods and takeover by agents with fake reports ruined the Chinese forum.
- I feel like there were more WGs available. Definitely a lot more 141 girls advertised.
- $500 was considered high end! $600 if the girl was saucy.
- 1 shot or 40 min whichever came first was a real thing.
- Tsim Sha Tsui had freelancers in bars. Hari’s Bar had Mongolians and Columbians. Sticky Fingers had the DHs. The former has been empty for years while the later closed years ago.
- I can only speculate why there were more reports back then. Hong Kong was politically stable and the general mood was pretty lively. Posting reports was a fun hobby to share. A lot more WGs lived in Hong Kong so it was easier to find the girl who someone had reported on.
