A MAN kept two teenage girls shackled in a secret underground chamber in China for nearly a year and the pair were only rescued after smuggling out a note, state media said today.
The girls, aged 19 and 16, were found last Friday, naked except for shackles on their feet, in the secret lair built by the man under his home in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province in central China, the Beijing News reported.
The 19-year-old, whose home was just 200 metres from where she was held, went missing in July last year. No details on the other girl were provided and neither victim was identified.
The man suspected of holding them captive was named as Zeng Xiangbao, 39, the report said.
He was detained by police a week before the girls were found on an unrelated rape charge, but the report made no mention of whether the captive girls had been raped.
Due to Zeng's detention, police said, the two girls would probably have starved to death if a nearby business owner had not found a piece of paper with a plea for help, a phone number and a map scrawled on it, according to the report.
The man who found it called the number, which belonged to the 19-year-old's father, identified only by his surname Zhou. Police were then contacted.
The girls had smuggled out such notes on many occasions, usually hidden in the rubbish of the instant noodles that they were fed by Zeng.
Police were investigating the case, said the report, which made no mention of any charges filed against Zeng.

Chinese Fritzl... But it seems these girls weren't held captive long enough to form the same kind of disturbing, defeated relationship as his daughter. Good on them for not giving up.

Think that in Wuhan city which has such a high population density and scarcity of land it would be difficult to hide and imprison two girls while in Austria, no one would even hear them scream. This Zeng is one sick fu**. Why in a place like China would he need to imprison two young girls when he can easily go to a BBS and get a HJ for RMB30 from a young teenage WG anyway?

Worst thing is.... i have a feeling there are alot more twisted Fritzl cases still unsolved in China

I read about this today in the news. Yeah it really is a sad story. I heard about a similar story from a millionaire in upstate NY. He did the same thing with a teenage First Nations girl in his shed.  He was a millionaire held a girl captive in his shed for sex and when he was arrested didn't think there was anything wrong with it because he gave the girl food and shelter! crazy world man

Very interesting video clip. The psycho actually lived with his mother who had no clue the girls were there. It was lucky they found the girls when they did as the pair would've certainly died since Zeng had already been arrested for an unrelated rape case and would not be providing for them when he's in detention.

Things like this, I don't wish the suspect be hung that quickly. I would rather him be tortured to death, before splitting him into 5 pieces with horses!

breaks my heart when i hear shit like that. i have little sisters and if anything like that ever happen gods know what i would do to that freak that did this. to make things worst she was kidnap and held captive so close to her own home. ahhhhhhhhh fucking sicko's!!!
