I think there is no doubt that FC Barcelona is currently the best team...
Man United got weakened a lot, Chelsea still plays like bagger, Arsenal havent won shit in years, Liverpool is performing like shit. Real Madrid is not a "TEAM" yet. and the italian teams like Inter AC Juventus, are no way better than barcelona..
think currently Real Madrid is a competitor. And last year, Barca won every price possible  like 7 of them??

my picks for 2010,   Argentina and Spain  and I hope my country Holland will at least get to the semi finals!

im from the Netherlands, Europe... dont lol man... soccer is like THE sport in the world!!
only in the states and in asia its not that popular...

i think favo's are Argentina, Spain  brazil,  and ofcourse the Netherlands!

Good issue, who will win I think not important, the important thing is who we support, I support England all the way.

Since this year is World Cup year, sometimes I see WG in DB wearing cut-off soccer jersey. Looks very tempting for me.

Not so sure if Argentina should be considered a favorite with how it has underperformed with Maradona as its coach.

My picks would be Brazil and Spain.

i dont know about you guys.
but i feel italy will go all the way...
no one likes em but i will always root for them just because i'm situated in little italy in my city..
shops open even if it's 2AM for the world cup.. great atmosphere here when the world cup is on.
one if not the best sport in the world...

ITALY !!?!? I'm Australian and I'm still PISSED about WC 2008! frigging last minute "Dive" Penalty saved there ass! They should never have gotten further then the Australia game!

Messi is great in Barca but he has struggled maintaining that same level when playing for Argentina. Otherwise they would be one of the favorites.

Italy may do it again this year.  People are underestimating them but if they can get past the first round then they will probably get to at least the Semi's

I used soccer because we cannot mix it with the american football.
For me, Messi is excellent with Barcelona but not so good with Argentina.

Best club: Barcelona, if they can play the world cup, I think they will win.
Favorite for World Cup 2010: Spain for sure, England maybe it is their year, Brazil like it is each year and my last one is Argentina.
Maybe a African country will be in the semi final, I think this will be Cameroon.

My bet is Brazil, here are my 2 cents on some of the other teams

Argentina is a good team but under Maradonna I have my doubts on them doing well. He was anamazing player, but I don't feel he is a good enough coach. Having said that if they don't do well there will be a circus in Argentina after the fact - motivation enough to push the team? Who knows..

Spain is looking very strong as is the English team, but do their teams have the maturity to make it all the way tothe cup? IMHO Spain has bigger chances than the English, I feel the Spanish have more depth in their reserves than the English.

Portugal - Ronaldo - but he is only 1 player.. nuff said

Italy - always a tough team to beat.. something about the way they play their defence and defend their leads.. but (yawn) boring as hell to watch

All in all I am not as interested in football as i used to be, too much crying and diving for me. Can't wait till the next rugby world cup
