its a pretty weak reason. It would be better if they said: "There are no big names at the moment who are doing
anything significant for world peace...lets just go for the popular guy this month!".
Why should Nobel feel compelled to 'support' Obama's policies anyway? They can 'judge' it as is their role as
selectors to give awards but they shouldn't 'support'/'oppose'.
