UFC machida vs shogun

did anyone else think that Shogun was robbed

it wasnt as if he totally dominated but i only scored it one round for machida

men thanks for spoiling it for me. I have not watched the fight yet since i am in china and have not log on to SHERDOG all day and you have to spoiled it for me in a puntting forum

but it was probably best not to look at a post that actually had a ufc title in it

it was a good match though.... machida was a ittl ebit boring like before but he was getting hit a lot by rua

Yea, shogun got ROBBED, everyone in the bar I was at booed... he should've just conceded that he lost; shogun was pretty gracious for someone robbed that badly... I'm glad I got to watch the fight for free because I would have been really pissed if I paid for this crappy fight

its amazing cause ruz loked so bad against coleman yet machida looked so good against silva and rashad

ppl weretalking about a "machida" era but he shoulda lost that fight

No doubt he was robbed. He was the agressor, had the most strikes and did the most damages. Sadly, it seems the UFC judges do not consider low kicks as an effective kind of strikes

I felt really bad for Shogun. And with the scoring system never modified, I'm affraid it will happen again in the rematch

Just to play a bit of devil's advocate, isn't the point of UFC and boxing not to get hit. The knock against Machida has always been that he has never been the aggressor. He's more of a defensive fighter who parries his opponents attack. Machida dodged and defended well against most of Shogun's attacks. Did he deserve to win? Maybe. Was it my type of fight? No.
