Getting to a higher reading access…is there a delay?

Hi, sorry if this has been covered but I couldn’t find it via search. I just posted some reviews and received some karma. I think I’m above 20 karma right now, but I still cannot access anything higher than reading access of 20.

Am I doing something wrong, or misinterpreting the karma # I have? Or perhaps there is a lag (from when you get a certain number of karma to when you actually get categorized for another reading access).

What you're wondering about is covered in that thread under "v) Reading Access"

You only have 54 credits right now so you're still at Reading Access 10. You will be able to read RA20 threads once you hit 100 credits.

there is no lag.  once you are at the higher level, the status change and viewing capability is instant.
