Hotel reviews wanted

Looking to try a new place.  Preferably a lower-priced 4-star place.  Kimberley was the place for me for obvious reasons, but no longer the case, but it is still the standard that I will go by for comparing.

Criteria - Probably on the Kowloon side in YauTsimMong. Accessibility to the HGs, very close to MTR, restaurants.  Bonus if easy accessibility to one of the free buses to Kowloon Station.  A good view would be a big bonus.

Some of the places I’ve stayed at before:
Regal Kowloon - nice but a bit out of the way
Kimberley - great location but the hotel is too old-fashioned, needs an upgrade
Stanford - rooms are really small, but good location
Stanford Hillview - same as above, and don’t like to deal with the uphill climb
Eaton - same as Stanford
Imperial - nice larger rooms but more like a 2.5 star.
CityView - super location but rooms are meh
The rest are places that my company has paid for and I wouldn’t use my own money to pay.

Places I’d like a monger review for:
Nathan
Prudential
BP
Best Western Grand
East (in Tai Koo) - anyone know why prices are so low there?
Park (in TST)
IClub Mongkok
any on the HK side in the general price range as the above that is worth it

East in TKS is not low in price and higher then any of the ones you've listed
In TST you missed GDH on Prat Avenue (opposite Daily Sauna) newly renovated and price same as or lower then Kimberly
HK side try South Pacific Hotel on Morrison Hill Road, decent at good price
Most hotels on Lockhard road are or were bonking places and the bed mattresses should be changed

Since July last year,  hotels are at unbelievably low prices, I've stopped using hourly motels and been using proper hotels instead, only one small problem is checking out about half a day after checking in and some of the looks they give you if it's a girl doing the check out

Nathan in Jordan ~ rooms newly renovated but lobby and front desk looks 40 years old !  similarly priced as Eaton

Park hotel ~ decent but slightly higher priced

Prudential, BWG, Iclub ~ not great, avoid if you have other choice

East, supposedly prices are running from $170-320HK a night on Snaptravel.  Snaptravel seems a bit shady though as I’ve tried to get reservations with them in the past only to have the transaction fail.  I’m also a bit suspicious as to what type of room I would get at East for that low of a price.

Eaton and Stanford I’ve stayed before around 10-15 years ago.  Eaton is a 4 star place but the room I stayed in probably was no more than 100 square feet.  Stanford at the time was a 3 star place but I really liked the location - really close to the MK station going to SZ.

Never heard of GDH, I’ll have to figure out what that is.

It's actually called GDH !   newly renovated green hotel

East is a fairly new 4 star hotel, prices were around $1500 before riots , today its 950 incl tax, I dont think it's ever been below 900

Eaton was renovated couple years back, the hotel and rooms are decent

Man some of the 5 star hotels for the week that I am coming in April have now dipped to the point where I may decide to splurge (under $780 HK/$100 US). Langham, Cordis, Mira, Hyatt Victoria Harbor, Harbor Grand (both sides) - all at that point now.  I still think I might have to spend more time than I’d like inside the hotel when I come, so maybe find a much better place to stay?  I’m looking at TripAdvisor which the prices are bouncing around $50-$300HK every hour seemingly.

Trip.com gives you better rates then other like sites most of the time
For HK I think it's definitely the best site
