Brush with death - Dangerous monger area warning

I was on a mongering trip back a  few years ago when I was still single. I went to Hat Yai in Thailand near the border to Malaysia. This is a hotbed for prostitution for patroned by malays that cross the border in search of cheap GFE sex. The girsl are booked by the day and really do aim to give that GFE, they eat sleep and basically act as your GF, I even got told off for looking at other girls my my WG.

What I didn't realize is that this place is also a hotbed for terrorist activity. I was literally a few hours away from being killed by Muslim Fundamentalist as they attacked my hotel using a home made IED bomb which they apparently set of every so often. I heard the news as I was in the airport and was instantly in cold sweats as to how close to death I was. The worst thing is nobody knew I was there if I was killed !

I was supposed to be in Singapore but took a sneaky flight over.

Have any of you guys been to Hat Yai?

The question is why were you in Southern Thailand in the first place when you flew and could be in Bangkok or Pattaya instead for example.

The furthest south I've been has been Trang and Krabi.... both really nice places to relax, not so sure about the mongering scene there though.

But Southern Thailand has been on travel warning lists of many countries for many years already! For terrorism and targeting tourists...

The question is do you live in a cave.

It's well known that there has been terrorist type activity in Southern Thailand for 30 or 40 years. The violence is settled in three provinces which are mainly Muslim.

Is this like an excerpt of your upcoming fiction novel in order to guage audience reaction?

Hat Yai was written about in a John Burkett novel in similar fashion to your little piece above. So, if you are trying out new material on us, I would recommend more changes to avoid being sued.

I was reading on another forum that there is pretty good mongering there - local Malays cross over because it is cheaper.  Wouldnt want to risk it without having a lot of local street sense though.  Thefe are even videos from the clubs to be found on YouTube.  They don't come close to the Pattaya clubs...

John Burkett has written books based in Pattaya, Phukett, Hong Kong...   ...doesnt mean reports are fake.

I was a noob in Asia and I heard hat Yai was a hidden gem, it is of course but not without it's downsides. I am not sure why I have gotten so much flak for my post, tbh this is not fiction.
