I read the guy's Hoa Hao thread a couple of years ago ... I guess that was before I got myself a life ... and man is he one sick paranoid MF ... everything from organised crime on a national scale to conspiracy theories about untraced POWs and disappearance of unsuspecting Western tourists ... and the impression I got is he's a pretty nasty piece of work himself too reading between the lines, but a ton of details just don't add up.
Very interesting that his 'war story' seems to be continuing. If I didn't have a life I might be curious how the story has evolved. But he seems to be living in a hell of his own creation.
Is it likely to happen to you? Not in my mind, taking into account his own actions and also the vast number of guys who have good experiences.
Is it possible his experience is real? Absolutely. We live in a world of infinite possibilites.
Should we take precautions? Absolutely. We live in a world of infinite possible scams and exploitation.
Whatever you do, avoid crossing any roads, don't get into any vehicles, and eat only organic produce that you yourself grew with your own hands.
