well i have a few friends coming from states and philipines to hong kong and they have requested me to take them to karaoke

but this is no ordinary karaoke they want girls with it also and they want to do it on cheap.

i have never been to karaoke, (coz i hate singing) so i am in need of your pro help here ppl.

can some give me some do's and dont's and direction to the ceapest place as in lets say for 4 peaople around 400-600$ and comes with a few girls.

i hate buying the lady drinks so is there a way around this.

If you take the MTR to TST station and look for Hanoi street exit.  There are a number of KTV places there - Touch, Sing-a-long, etc.

Typically, how this works;  You pay a tip to the lady companion for the eve (anywhere btwn HK$200-500 per person).  For drinks and room charge, you need to check with the mama-san, or papa-san.  If Raymond (papa-san at Touch) is around, ask for him.  I've used him once in the distant past!

You may be able to split the damage to approx $500-600 if a group of you share a bottle (whiskey, brandy etc).

Take out svc is an entire different price matter.  If your friends are interested to take-out, they need to make it known upfront as not all girls will go with their guests!

due to my broken chinese i was only able to understand that it was all you can drink beer.

can you elaborate on the pricing plz.. as i mentioned we only wanna spend around 500-800 for group of 3.

you're looking for a whole night out with girls to keep you company and drinks for about $200 - 250 each ?  

no no, i mean just a few hours maybe 3 hours i guess i am not asking much just a few rubs here and there no action required...

the problem is that i dont like going to wanchai bars coz the girls are 40+ and are super bad company. plus the bartender or the mamasan b!tches keep preasuring us to buy the girls drinks...

its like we are not even done with our first and the girls has already had 2-3.

i would basically prefer to go sauna and then hit the bars in LKF but since my friends are coming from overseas they want something new.

The KTV places I've suggested are nothing like the bars in Wan Chai.

You pay room rate - flat!  The system is either you need to spend a minimum amount of money OR you pay as you go - i.e. itemised bill.

These places, you don't need to buy the girl drinks as they typically drink what you've ordered for yourself.  In KTVs, you can buy beer by the buckets or bottles of hard liquor + mixes.  The girl is paid a flat rate to accompany you for the eve.

However, you may need to spend more than the amount.  I would hazard, probably a HK$1K per head.  If new is what you are seeking, then try Touch, the place mentioned.

Ask for Raymond and when you enter, discuss the prices clearly.  If it suits you, then proceed in!  If not, then go to LKF.

As far as I know, this is among the cheapest I've seen in HK (without going too down market).  The other places typically start at almost HK$2K per head without a "take-out" service.

If cheap cheap is absolutely a must - then the last option is Shenzhen BUT I can't help you there as I don't know it well enough!

Even in SZ, $200-250 ain't going to get you far ... need to go much further up north !
As for HK, no matter how much you go down market the budget's still too low !!!

another cheap option is hang out at the bars on ladies night...............

usually good on Weds...................

Carnegies, Joe Bananas, Insomnia etc.....................

however, it's either a one night stand or you need to cough-up a hefty sum if your dick gets carried away and you meet some hot WG.........
