How 'bout those GIANTS! SF 11 d. TEXAS 7.

How about those GIANTS!!!

What should have been a pitcher's duel turns into a slugfest! Good because Cliff Lee had it coming after beating my Yankees. Do NOT like him one bit... unless of course we sign him in the off season in which case I am happy to flip.

Latest info on the World Series which is the best of 7 finals series between the respective Champions from the American League and the National League at THIS LINK.

In case you're not familiar, this season more than 73,000,000 fans went to Major League Baseball in the US. Sure they play more games than any of the other major US sports but that's more fans than attended the NFL, NBA, NHL... combined.

Another 45,000,000 fans attended Minor League Baseball this year. That's almost 120 MILLION fans. Quite remarkable.

Lincecum was wobbly for the first two innings but showed poise. And the Giant's bats were on fire.  It's going to be a great series, I think.

I saw Barry Bonds in the crowd, but I had the sound turned off did anyone hear whatthe announcers said? Did you know Barry could have played a couple of more years, he could still crush the ball and hit for average, and he said he would play for a reduced salary, and not a single team even expressed an interest in him? That amazes me, but considering BALCO and his bad personality I guess I can understand it.

I think he threw out the first pitch in the NLCS and they referred to that. That didn't make any ref to court case. They said he was excited about how the Giants were playing.

They also mentioned the Giants were pitching to Hamilton the way other teams used to pitch to Bonds.

Yesterday's game was absolutely brilliant! Really exciting, great plays, big hits, full of surprises. I also liked Ken Burns' intro which really encapsulated how unique and beautiful a game baseball is for those that understand it's subtleties.

Today's game was pretty sad too.  Did you see the look on Nolan Ryan's  face?  He was pissed off.  His pitcher's really need to get it together.  But if they don't then even better.  Go Giant's!

amazing the way today's game changed... a tight contest until bottom eight then BANG! A really amazing change. Baseball is THE most unpredictable sport.

Anyone with predictions for Game 3?  It's going to be much tougher for the G-men in Texas, but I'm hoping they sweep the Rangers!  I can't put up with any more torture when Brian Wilson allows the go-ahead/winning runs on base in the 9th!

End it in Texas!

The Rangers suck.  Nolan Ryan should be batting clean-up.

3 more outs to go!  C'mon Giants!

I've gotta say, this postseason has definitely been all about the pitching.  For the most part, it has been outstanding.  Normally I'm not much of a fan of pitchers duels, but it has been very exciting with the hype and matchups.

There it is! SF Giants win the World Series.

Details at THIS LINK

Hopefully this will make it easier for Cliff Lee to sign with the Yankees this off season!

Just like in Football nowadays, the technology they use to broadcast the games is outstanding.  Especially the one showing the sequence of pitches, Lincecum made Josh Hamilton look like a little leaguer.

Anyone attending the Giant's parade in San Francisco? It starts at 11 am.  It's going to be crazy out there.  I heard there were going to be around 200,000 fans pouring into the City.
