I have a Motorola Droid. How does that work if I get a local SIM and put it in my phone? Will my apps still work?

What are the techniques to take pics/video inside a sauna? Will the high humidity ruin the phone?

Firstly, I am more interested in knowing about your user experience with the Motorolo Droid as I intend to switch to a Droid phone myself.

If you purchase a GSM sim card in China, the phone should work. If you go to a sauna, there isn't actually any high humidity as the bathing part takes place in the bathroom while the rest of the action actually takes part in the bedroom section so just don't keep your phone inside the bath area.

Huh?  Er... do not go into the steam rooms with your phone, man!

Aww... like in 18, there is a pool right in the middle. Then the shower area (if I remember correctly) doesn't have door to section it off. Humidity depends on temperature, pressure, air density, etc. If you are closer to a large body of water where water molecule is more available to go into the air, the humidity is probably higher than a place farther away from any body of water.

The new Droid X came out like a month ago. I only have Droid because it is my first smart phone. My friends with iPhone tell me that I have the knock offversion of iPhone. And I tell that to check the stats before they open their mouths. LOL The new Droid X has 8M pixel camera while IPhone 4 has 5M. Droid X's display is 4.3" vs IPhone 3.5". Droid may not have as many apps as IPhone does. But how many does a person need? There are over 70,000 apps available for Droid with new ones coming out every day. It takes a while to even screen though all of them. Verizon has better mobile network than AT&T. IPhone doesn't have Flash compatibility but the new Android 2.2 OS does.

When I first got my Droid, every now and then I would have "stuck" moment like the prolong thinking hourglass in Windows. But after the updates, I haven't noticed any lately. I would suggest to check on Verizon website for any good deal such as buy one get one free and so on. Also, it's much easier to buy it online from Verizon's website because the rebate is automatic. If you buy it from the store, you have to mail in the rebate and it can take a few weeks. I bought mine online and it took maybe 2-3 days for the phone to arrive.

I have an andriod phone....The Sony Ericisson X10 in white....The screen resolution is 3 times better than the iphone 3gs and there is a 8.1 megapixel camera....Bad things are that the flash does not work and it is running on 1.6....

The htc Desire is another matter....The magazine T3 nicked the Desire the "  IPHONE KILLER"....

I hate the iphone 3gs because it is just too hyped up...But after playing with the new iphone 4....Fuck me  ...Now that's a seriously fast phone.....

the humidity could ruin your phone if you don't watch the humidity in the room you're in. but i doubt you'd be taking the pic inside the sauna haha

I have seen people posting pics and videos of inside the saunas. That's why I asked. You can't really be hiding your phone because you are pretty much naked inside a sauna. That's why I wonder how people do it.

As for pictures, you shouldn't attempt taking any photos at the 18 main pool area as there are a lot of other punters naked and they'll may not take kindly to sneaky pics of them. Best is to take the camera into the room and ask the girl if you can snap pics of her.

I'm getting the HTC Desire soon, btw. There's like a month wait in HK, but really looking forward to binning my Windows Mobile!

i really don't know much about phones but I can only advise u as u are filming the girl giving u a bbbj, make sure her mouth remains clamp down on ur dick as u cim or else ur spunk might hit ur phone and possibly damaging it.

Honestly the best way to protect ur phone from the humidity is to keep the phone in the locker when u go for a shower then before u go to the lounge, u ask the attendant to open ur locker again to take out ur phone.  The attendants don't mind as it absolves them of any responsibility of them damaging ur phone while handling it.  I do this all the time.  

I know there is usually a clear acrylic mini locker on the walls of the shower/changing area that is used to hold phones/watches, but because of the location u may feel it is not far enough from the high humidity coming from the showers/pools.

Yes I've done the same thing, only I went back and got my digital camera and bag of tricks. I'm not sure if they realised what I had, but they made no protest to my taking it with me to the room.

If you do something with enough confidence, you'll often get away with it even if you are bending rules. I find this is particularly the case for foreigners in places like China and if they call you on it just plead ignorance.

The Droid phones seem a little clunky compared to the iPhone, although it really depends what you want to use the phone for.

I would have to say that my SE Xperia takes much better photos, mainly due to the lens and probably the other electronics, as the MPixel count is useless as a gauge of how good the pictures turn out.

For what I do, ie financial and graphic modelling, advertising etc, the better photo handling of the iPhone makes it a hands-down winner in imprompt meetings, so I can't get rid of my iPhone for the Xperia.  

For other tasks, the Xperia is generally better.  

If I had to choose one phone, unfortunately it would still have to be the iPhone, although I think that Apple really sticks it to you.

will you shower and steam with your phone? if not, it is not problem and your phone should work fine. Just remember to ask a permission before your taking any pic, or your phone will be cracked by someone

Hahaha, never taken my phone into the sauna man. Don't think all that steam will do good to my phone let a lone it'lll just fog up my phone campera..
