Is Blackberry the still the cheapest way to do romaing?

Is Blackberry the still the cheapest way to do romaing - can any other smart phone be confirgured to do cheap romaing with Gmail?

I use a Blackberry and use only gmail. I do some travelling too. Is it best to stick to Blackberry to avoid high roaming charges or can one configure any of the "smart" phones
such as HTC etc. with gmail to avoid romaing charges with "push" mail and "Imac"

Do any of the techie brother know more?

so far only blackberry is still the cheapest way to do data roaming - the way they do is you won't download the attachment in email until you open the attachment. but iphone or others will download the attachments doesn't matter you will open it or not.
