orginic product

I would like to know more about the orginic product price which selling outside HK compare with non-orginic product (food and cloths)

I started my life using more orginic product. But in HK the price of these product are very expensive.
some orginic product such as vegetable and fruit are 20%-40% more expensive than non-orginic.

But another some such as cake, bread or juice may over 200% than non-orginic.

I would like to know more about the orginic product price which selling outside HK compare with non-orginic one

Can anyone tell me the price different between orginic and non orginic product outside HK????

Why don't you do a search on the internet? You are asking a rather vague question that could easily be found on the web. You should be specific in what brand name you're looking for as a lot of products are not really organic even though it says this on the packaging.

hey musky

"organic" may mean different things in different countries, i know in Aust that a lot of produce is claimed to be organic but it is just slightly modified from non organic. But in terms of prices organic produce is at least 30-40% higher than non organic, so yes here in Aust organic is signuificantly more expensive

Organic products are harder to produce and labor intensive, that's why it costs more. 200% mark up is not unusual for organic products in Hong Kong, because like a lot of foreign products, it has to be shipped from other countries. City Super and other high end stores in Hong Kong have some organic products like vegetables and some meats.

I think it actually depends on where you live. Like in my country, if you live in the city, organic products are like x3 of their original purchased price or non organic counterpart! probably because not only is it harder to produce but also since its being sold in the city (rents are higher, people get paid more thus can spend more, transportation takes a bit longer and etc...). But if you live in the provinces (or countryside as some people call it) organic products cheap! Even if its more labor intensive, people are not willing to spend a few bucks on some fertilizer being sold at the local agri store. So what do they use? heck, they got all sorts of organic fertilizers (aka cow dung) lying around.... whats even more interesting for me is when i shop at the local grocery store, the non organic foods are sometimes more expensive than their non organic counterpart   damn...

I know some country such as New zealand, the price of orginic product is much cheap thna non-orginic. As you mention, the geographical position is one the reason...

In HK there is difficult to find local produce orginic product because most the raw material are import from China or other country, that why the price of orginic product is expensive.

but, Is there some country is common produce or using orginic product like NZ and the price still marked high???

apparently organic products (food) is worst for health and all it does is make you feel more healthy mentally while it is bad for your body.
the lack of chemicals increases the numbers of bugs in the food and therefore youre eating all that

I wouldn't go as far as saying organic foods would make you sick. I mean before the introduction of pesticides and and genetically modified foods humans have been consuming 'organic' food for millions of years.

The reason these chemicals were introduced was to increase the harvest yield so that pests would not destroy their crop. And the lack of these chemicals would only yield a smaller crop and but make you sick.

However, the overuse and abuse of these chemicals would definitely make you sick.

Anyway, for me I eat whatever's on the table... Organic, non-organic, gm...whatever.

Hahaha... agree! If it taste good then why not? But i guess the rule of thumb here is that you should eat (or do things ) in moderation. Heck my employee's wife had to undergo surgery because she had kidney stones... and how did that happen? according to the doctor she had too much of green leafy vegetables in her diet
