Policeman jailed for waiving traffic tickets in exchange for sex

I don't remember seeing this on "The Bill"

British policeman jailed for waiving women's traffic tickets in exchange for sex
A FORMER policeman was jailed today for having sex with women drivers in exchange for letting them off driving offences.
Married father-of-two Jamie Slater, 33, from Port Talbot, South Wales, was jailed for three-and-a-half years after Cardiff Crown Court heard the former traffic cop pulled over six women and told them he would not give them tickets if they had sex with him.
Two of the women agreed and had sex with Slater in his patrol car - with one even hiding in the official vehicle when Slater was called to an emergency incident, thisisSouthWales.com reported.
Slater was dismissed after eight years service in December 2009, following an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
The court heard Slater's reign of "predatory sex" ended when one woman complained to senior officers.
He admitted eight charges of misconduct in public office relating to eight different women.
Tom Crowther, Slater's defense lawyer, said: "He is full of remorse and he was a good police officer."
The judge, Justice Mr. David Lloyd Jones said: "These offenses were deeply distressing to your victims, all of whom were vulnerable. They felt powerless.
"Your activities have done immense damage to public confidence to South Wales Police."
Tom Davies, the IPCC for Wales, said: "Slater was a disgrace to all who work for the police service and abused the position of trust a serving police officer is given."

Damn cops. I bet they are like that everywhere. All corrupted and shit. Here in sf I saw store owners offering stuff to them so they won't get double parking tickets when unloading. Hate when cops abuse their power. Shouldn't they be doing what they get paid for... Like sloving real crimes... And they never seem to be around when u need them, but once u make stupid mistake they come harass u. Anyways, I wonder if he purposely pull over the hot ones only or was he not picky at all lol??

That's kind of amazing if you think about it, 2/7 women will happily whore themselves out on the spot for $200-400? Maybe they were about to lose their license if they copped this ticket, but still...

A ticket is £60 + 5 criminal fund tax (yes there is a tax on crime in the UK)

The biggie is the points.

If you get 6 points in your first year of driving you get your licence revoked and have to take your test right from the begining again, the test in the UK has gotten progressively harder and harder. My elite level bike instructor finds the test today difficult. Same thing if you are totted up to 9 points you get 3 points you get a 3-6 month ban.

In extreme circumstances you get banned and you get told if you want your driving licence back you need to sit the advanced extended test. The normal test you are allowed 15 minor errors a max of 5 in each category, major errors = fail though.

The extended test lasts twice as long costs three times as much as you are only allowed 2 minors per category with a maximum of 10 allowed, it is stupidly hard to discourage people from getting banned in such a way.

Points also = huge increases in insurance (UK points last for 3 years but must be declared for 5)

wow, I'm British and I didn't know all that!
Then again, I'm not on the verge of losing my license and looking at taking the advanced test thank god.

power made police tends to corrupt. It happened in many countries in the world. In my country it is common to see police officer at MP, Spa, or any prostitution joints using WG's services, but the worst thing is they usually want it for free

The difference being in "many countries in the world" this sort of thing would remain under the radar as far as the government and media was concerned. Only in countries such as UK would you be reading about it in the newspaper.

those girls should bluff him by letting him know if you dont let me off i'll report your ass for even suggesting the idea of me having sex with you to let me off the hook. they should say i know this isn't your first time suggesting the idea and if enough girls report his ass for the same thing then it's over for him.

seems like a good idea to have your phone handy and know how to quickly, and surreptitiously, turn on the voice memo function to bust his ass. Would make an interesting day in court to play back the cop's bribery attempt when defending the ticket.

Some cops here in AUS have been known to be dickheads. A few years back one roughed up a driver who challenged the cops authority ....... pity for the cop it turned out the guy was a respected barrister quite willing to take the case all the way.

It's been my experience that the only real difference between the crims and the coppers is their level of education. Same personality type, get very aggro if you question their authority. The type for which carrying around a gun is like having an extra penis.

You stole that from my mouth !!! Exactly what I was thinking!
Logically speaking though, if the girl did file a complaint vs the police officer then EVERYTHING would be done by the book. That would mean the woman has to pay the ticket (they cant just waive it for no reason) and then the cop could be sued.

Hmmmm...
Unless she is a cunning woman to state that if she gives police information on a potential sex offender with evidence than they waive the related traffic offence.

Sounds like a scene in a porn movie
I can't imagine why the women accept this offer.
