Who else thinks it is worth it to wait for a trip to hong kong for fun rather than staying in the US? Would you go to Hong Kong, just to hobby?

Here are some of my numbers in USD:

Monger in California, US
$200/hr @ 1 hour per session

Monger in Hong Kong
$ 800 Trip from California, US to Hong Kong with 4 night hotel
$100 per session (avg cost of 2 HG for every 1 walk up = [2*800HKD+1*500HKD]/3/7.75+Tip)

200x = 800 + 100x

x = 8.

I would have to have eight sessions, that is two sessions every day for four days to break even.

I know, I know, I'm a big nerd and had to run this cost benefit analysis.  I know there is food and other costs that I will incur while I am in Hong Kong, but to simplify things, this is what I came up with.  What does everyone else think?  I think I'll be totally drained, but it will be quite the adventure.


Of course, I could stay in the US and monger when I want and spread out the equivalent 8 sessions to a more reasonable period of time...  But of course, that's just not as fun.

If you intend of a heavy mongering session, it may very well be the cheaper option to come across to HK / Macau.  An important variable is the type of girl you are after.  HK / Macau is almost exclusively Asian in terms of WG availability.  The Caucasian selection is poor and generally poor quality as a rule.

You forgot the biggest costs for some/many of us:

1. When mongering in HK, the cost of time to travel to HK and spend a few days there (assuming you have no other reason to be there), as well as the hassle/exhaustion of travel.

2. When mongering in California, the risk of being caught, and having to spend $10,000 on a criminal defense, and for some, much more on a divorce settlement, and potentially be left with a criminal record.

Also, it depends on which part of California you live in.  If you live in Southern California or better yet San Diego, you can just drive down the Tijuana, Mexico.  You can pick up a street girl there for $30 US Dollars.  That is a price you really can't beat.

good point.  I am into the Asian girls so that is perfect for me.  The white girls, I can get back in the US, so that will not be what I am looking for.  Also I prefer not to have a criminal record back in the Statesjust in case something does go bad in the sessions and I get caught.  I'm not married, so the divorce settlement is not an issue.  Good thinking about the trip to Tijuana.  Even from Northern Cali where I'm from, it's just less than 2 hour flight away to SD and then I can hop on the public transportation that takes me across the border.  Of course then I would not be getting Asian girls, but Latinas are not bad either.  Any bro's thinking about going to Mexico should be careful of the recent violence going on in the region and the anti-US sentiment.

What I love about mongering overseas, is the anonymity.  When mongering around Australia, there is always the constant fear of being seen my someone you know.  I am at such ease when mongering through Macau, because I know thatthere is a 1 in 10,000 chance that I will ever see someone I know.

And if you manage to see someone you know from home in the sauna in Macau, it will give you guys a deeper bond because of the MAD (mutually assured destruction) effect should someone spills the beans.     

Plus you get someone you get to reminisce with back at your favourite bar at home.  I think some guys go a bit bonkers when they get home as they don't with whom they can share their experiences or stories.    :

Agreed, however I've been lucky 4/6 times I've been in HK that I was sent there on business. 1 time I travelled over land to get there, the other time I was passing through on the way to Aus (also on biz).

Agree with Kennichi - on business works out the best since trip costs are paid for if you can hold out and wait. I always add in an extra day or at the least an overnight connection (e.g. Amsterdam or Frankfurt for RLD's or FKK's) for punts. 20 days and I'll be back in HK

don't forget about the quality too.
you can get younger girls in HK. In the U.S. you are lucky to find a wg in her 30's.

sadly for me, I don't get business trips.  All my work is done in the office and we communicate via phone call or internet with the satalite offices.

I suppose if I run my own company on the side, I can start to expense my trips to Hong Kong.  But then that would mean I need to make money first in order to expense something!  Anyway, that's further down the road...

Also agree with timewaster.  The girls are so much better in Hong Kong.  The massage places usually have 30+ year old wgs.  There are some younger ones that are mcot, but those are few and far between.   The hot providers I find on redbook ask for donations over 200+ and that's not including any extra tip.

Yeah but you risk your life in these times.  Head office is in San Diego and some of my employees are 'enthusiasts' and it is changed a lot in terms of safety in the last few years.  Great in the 80's and 90's but HK is much better in terms of quality..

For me I still think Mongering in HK/Asia is a damn good deal. You get a lot more to choose from in HK/Asia. It is easily available everywhere and convenient. I do not travel to HK that often as I only go for fun once a year. And when I do I stay in Asia for at least a month to make it worth my while. Just one a day is already a good cost benefit for me.

another thing to consider is that all the places here in NYC no longer have younger girls.  once upon a time, we were able to pick 20-30 year old beauties from a lineup at the local spots.  this was at the korean place near my home and it covered the whole FS package.  nowadays youre lucky if you can find a girl who even looks like shes under 30.  at the end of the day, its not just the value aspect of punting in HK...it also sounds like a better experience.

There should be more young WGs in the US now given the high unemployment rate.

Broadly speaking, HK has a consistently better deal for hobbying.  I've had some of my best experiences and best deals in the U.S., but then I spend more time here so the occasional gem is more likely to appear.  If I want consistent bang for the buck straight out of the box (no 'relationship building' required) then it's HK all the way.

you can also save by doing other things while in HK or China.  For example, getting any medical services done that ordinarily would cost you a pretty penny in the US.  In SZ, many of the services are a fraction of the cost in the US.  Some examples, getting a new pair of glasses, or contact lenses; teeth cleaning; surgeries; etc.  Clothes shopping can save you a lot potentially.  Don't forget about the illegal software and fake Louis Vuitton purses that you can sell for 3x to your coworkers when you bring back to the US.

i like white girls but lately i've been craving asian. the selection of asian girls here is pretty weak, so maybe a trip to hk will solve some problems

The selection of Asian girls in California is weak?  In California?   Where the heck are you living?  Modesto??

At least on the coast (S. Diego - S. Francisco) we're awash in Asian beauties.  They just cost more over here.

I don't like tanned Asian girls. Most Asian girls in US are tanned.
