I was curious to know, what is the most common truth behind the WGs that you've met ?

I have heard terrible stories of little girls being plucked from the countryside, and distributed into ktv's and BBS's once they come of age.
Other stories are of girls that need to pay down family debt, or their family forced them into it.

But honestly. I've NEVER met a single girl with any of the above stories.

All the ones I have met have willingly come out to pursue higher paying work. I mean, a KTV girl can make a good 10,000rmb per month with some effort, which is probably 5 or 6 times higher than she could get at any other job (since she has no other education or special skills).
Some have worked in factories first, some come straight from the their hometowns. But all of them seem to have done it entirely voluntarily.

Am I right here? or is there something I'm not seeing?

2. Those with the worst situations are also the ones least likely to tell you about it.

3. Plenty of people here have heard plenty of the involuntary type stories from the WGs. Family debt, in particular, is perhaps the most common variation.

4. Again, what question are you trying to answer? Whether sex slavery/trafficking exists? Whether your favorite WG is a sex slave? Whether everything is just made up? What?

A common strory doesn't necessarily make it a plausible one. I also think it depends on what type of place you're picking the girl up - someone working in a BBS is probably going to have a different tale from someone working in a high end sauna or KTV. I tend not to listen to the story or try to find out more about the background as ther could be another agenda and they are trying to squeeze you for more money.

to me, it wouldn't matter which story was the most commonly heard. how would I know that I was getting the truth?

I always wonder that...but have come across (no pun intended) more girls who admit they are doing it for the money, the hope of maybe hooking a rich guy etc...it sure beats working in a factory

I've gotten to know several BBoss girls in HK over the years, both local, Mainland & Phillipino ones and none of them told me they were here working for anything but the money......same with a lot of sauna girls etc in Macau, majority of them have said its for the money

There are some who are doing it to support family and their kids, but i think its the press which really likes to imply they've all been tricked, forced into things..its like the South China Morning Post's article a few months back which was trying to imply the Macau sauna scene was all undercover and exploited girls  ' a line up of sad looking girls many on the verge of tears are parading around a pool'...

As wanker'ish as it sounds, i think often we're the one's getting exploited, these women and their heaving bosoms know how to take advantage of us!

There are girls i've gotten to know outside of work, for overnighters and out of work fun, and sometimes have got to know more about their family etc, and if i like them i've been known to tip them a bit more, or give them a little extra...if it goes to their family or not, who knows

I've never asked any of them about the reason they do this job. I don't see what benefit I could get from knowing their stories. I chose I girl to have a fun time with her not to cry over a sad story and end up spending the night without touching her because I feel so sorry for her.

Like others said, how I would know she's telling the truth ? But no one told me any sob story, anyway.

Most of the girls, I've been with, have a child to support alone. So, this is probably the common reason behind their choice to prostitute themselves. Though, it's not sure they would all have stayed clear off it if they had no kids to support. Indeed, someof them have no kids and still chose to do it, probably because they think, although it's not their only alternative, it's the best they have at the time they make their choice.

Its my experience also that most seem to do it purely for the big money too.

I mean, its not like there aren't enough factory jobs to go around (in fact Guangdong has a shortage of workers). If a girl wanted to keep her "dignity" she always has the choice of a low-paying factory job.

This totally refutes the newspapers and human rights groups who always say that these girls are coerced and forced.

As we've all seen, many of the girls don't mind.... maybe even enjoy their job. Its a Win-Win for all of us!

The South China Morning Post article really should have got an award for creative writing, as they did their best to imply that 18, East Spa, Sanado, Rio etc are all crumbling dark dismal places and that the girsl are all forced against their will to do anything

I'm not saying that every single girl is there happily...but its not the sob story they try to make out...and even with the Sauna taking its cut, those girls are making some serious money...the clever ones come in, make the money, hook a rich or comfortably off guy and get out

Its always for money because if they could make nearly that much money doing something else, they would do. I've not met landed gentry princess girls who are hookers. Occasional middle class girls with credit card debts to pay off, but usually the poor and un-educated. They are not stories but embellished factual statements I guess. The only way I have every heard what I believe to be the truth is when I madeit clear that I was happy to chat with them, but not going to give them any money at all. Then once the see you are not an ATM girls will chat. And the common theme is they, their parents, their BF, the children need money and this is the only way they can make enough. Ome enjoy the work some times and others will be emotionally scarred for life. Some will become nymphos and bag a rich guys through ass sex, and others will be crack addict suicide cases.

The very young ones though will have been sold or have debt to pay back and taken as a result I believe - after all, what 14 yr old girl would think "i know I will become a hooker - sounds great fun all this sex and the money will be good pocket money".

A few weeks back i was in the gym, and they had a documentary playing about 1930's Shanghai, and a French woman was talking about her her very well to do mother had suddenly told her daughter from her death bed..that during the 30's she'd been in Shanghai working as a hooker...the girl asked why, and her mother said because it was exciting, it was different!

Agree with akka, when a girl realises you're not the prince charming or a walking ATM, they'll open up and chat and you'll find out whats happening..of course whats funny is sometimes they'll contradict their own stories

Yes there are some sob stories, but think we've all got them in every job

Treat the girls nice, and often they'll reciprocate, sometimes its genuine sometimes not...but treat them nicely and things normally go better

I think alot of the WG's look for a rich husband or somethat that cares about them and gets married.  then the rest of their lifes they do not need to work again as a WG or just a normal paying job.  I know a few WG's which I'm quite close with, I do not think they would lie to me as we are more like very good friends.  She told me there are basically 3 categories of girls that comes out to work.   

1) Ones which have very poor families and come out to work to support their family
2) Girls that love to play everyday and enjoy as a WG
3) Girls that owes alot of debt or is a drug addict and needs lots of money

Most of the ones I know are in category 1 and 2.  Alot of her friends are already married at like ages 21-24, so they usually do not need to work anymore.

The stories i've heard are :

1) Family is poor and needs to make good money to help family.

2) Boyfriend cheated, broke up so fuck it might as well get paid for fucking. (she was a kindergarten teacher in China very hot too.)

3) Why work for minimum pay when I can make more then doctors LOL.

4) Had a argument with the family and is out on her own now.

5) Trying to find a husband that makes more then the average Joe in China.

6) This last 1 is an interesting 1 I got to know her well and was on a few dates with her outside of work no money changed hands and got a few overnight freebies , girl is from china and family is well off enough to send her to Canada to study english.

I Asked her why she is a WG since family is well off, her reply was her parents work hard for their money and don't want to burden them too much as she makes 10 000 CAD for 7 days of work in Canada she works 1 week a month.
