guys, assuming that you really like an HG who's leaving town soon and you'd like to see her again if she ever happens to be back, is it acceptable (or even possible) to either ask for her contact info or to give her yours so that she can let you know the next time she's back? I ask cause I've read that some HG's never come back at all, while some switch agents and names. I figure this would be a much surer way of seeing your favorite HG's in the future.

I'm sure you've seen the word 'chemistry' mentioned in relation to GFE and generally getting the little extras from the WGs and getting phone numbers is one of these. If she either likes you or sees you as a potential ongoing client back in China then she'll give you her number. Some work in Shenzhen or other nearby cities and some return to their home provinces after working in Hong Kong and there's no standard pattern.
Many who keep coming back to Hong Kong work acress the border. By all measn give them a number where they can reach you but just be careful with this if you're in a relationship or just don't want to receive calls which might embarrass you.
Be aware that some gals might just disappear on you. A lot of them use sim cards that might expire or they change when they move around so don't be too disappointed if you call one day and get a recording saying that the number you've called doesn't have a subscriber or that there are insufficient  funds for the call to go through.
To put it bluntly, don't fall in love or get hooked or, as the locals say here, let your ship sink.
Personally I'm selective with giving out my number, but try to get numbers of favourite WGs that I might want to contact, mostly from places that I'm likely to visit in the near future, such as Shenzhen or Guangzhou.
If they're unlikely or unwilling to be in contact they may just take your number and never call, or give you a fake number or they'e using a temporary card and number that expires when they leave here. Its the luck of the draw and some just don't want to be hassled, have relationships back home or are here on a one-off basis to make some quick cash. Good luck! Don't ask me for any numbers as I always promise the gals that I'll keep the numbers confidential. Remember that WGs are also entitled to their privacy and work through agents for more reasons than just getting bookings here.

I never give out my number but if I "like" a girl and she stays in easily reachable area like Shenzhen, I always ask for her number and I have not been rejected so far. If your intention is to see her in HK, for those girls who do get days off while working here, you can try to arrange a date with her. But of course they are prohibited to receive money for sex outside of the agent watchful eyes.

Agree with Bro SIK's comments. I could add that the lifestyle of a WG is such that they lose their phone, get their phone stolen, let their card expire, give their number to someone they wish they hadn't etc... they change numbers often.

I like to use email. Set up a hotmail or similar account specifically for this purpose and use this to let the girls know where you are, stay in touch and they will let you know when they will be in HK. They usually have an email address. Even if they dont speak great English, when it's written they can take the time to study, us an on line translator or ask a friend.

This is the part I was wondering about.  But how would the agent possibly know what transpires in a private hotel room?

From my limited experience they are very careful about this and I've heard stories about gals being beaten for stepping out of line. What they do back across the border seems to be a lot safer and they're lives are their own in most cases.

I think that may be a reason why HG's don't go out of their rooms very often. big brother watches them, and big brother has no way of knowing what the girls are up to if they venture out on their own.

QQ is best for keeping in contact.  But it is hard if you have no or limited chinese reading and writing.  I use google translator for communication between them as it works out ok, but doesn't always translate it properly.  So it would help a bit if you can read a bit just to make sure you are saying the right thing as it can sometimes translate into a totally different meaning.
