Here are a few good uses i can think of: - not using pictures anymore to show location of where a WG can be found - with every report, include a link to the street view scene of where the action took place Lets say you had some fun in TST, click here to view the building [ Last edited by  NLion at 16-3-2010 16:39 ]

#5 Post at 17-3-2010 01:28  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L it works from your cell phone as well Comes in handy to check it from your phone when walking down the street to find a place - for me (not being familiar with HK), having google maps + GPS + street view on my phone helps save a lot of time/fumbling around.

Personally, I think it'll be brilliant for recognising where places are. The pictures in the DB are good, but you have to get there first. Being able to do a virtual 'trial' run from an MTR exit or similar will be very useful. I remember places fairly well, so going through it once on StreetView then can do the proper run without any kind of problems. Can't wait till I get to Hong Kong later this year!

#9 Post at 17-3-2010 09:27  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L I've been waiting so long for this!  For now, Google maps street view will be as close as I'll get to the action in HK.  I plan on using it to "tour" the area so that when I do arrive, I'll know where to go for the saunas, walk-ups, etc.!  Just having an address wasn't good enough without having a visual on the locations...  Fantastic!

Unfortunately I found the links quite unstable, I could click once and it would be fine, then click again and I was looking on the other side of the road. On balance I think a screen shot is more use because it will always be there. I added a Wan Chai street map with all the Bars shown on the map to the same thread so for Bros looking for directions, that solves the problem, then when you arrive to the approx area you have a pic to refer to as well. I know the HK Bar scene very well, but not the Saunas so would be great if we had a thread that did same for Saunas and also the best Walk Up buildings.
