Did you guys see the report in the SCMP about the manager at an export company
who visited a "prostitute" at the RK hotel in TST East last April and pulled a knife
on her in the room? He was convicted of attempted robbery. I trust it wasn't one
of the bros or c-hings.

What was the guy thinking? I'm surprised he survived the wrath of the pimp
and made it to his day in court.

I think you guys give the pimps too much credit.  Are the pimps really such badasses?  I can't imagine so.  If I am a pimp, I am out for maximum profits and to keep my business going for as long as I can.  Why would I fuck it up by messing up my whole business because of one dickhead who pulled a knife on one of my girls.  Triads rely on bluffs, and i believe that the power of these pimps are one big bluff.

The girls probably don't want to talk to the police if they were robbed. I know in Vancouver that robbery from prostitutes have increased
and has lead to murder in some cases.

Stealing from the homeless is also pretty bad, and that's been done too. There's a lot of bad peopleout there. Hope all parties involved are okay.

It was actually the pimp who was killed. Apparently he was in the micro during the robbery.

actually they do look after their girls.  

OK I agree they're unlikely to rub out someone after he's made a getaway ... especially if he's headed for LE ...

But the girls do prefer to work in a walkup that has a "boy" hanging around watching who comes and goes 24x7, and they have a number to call if they need cavalry (and can use the phone) - it's covered by their rental.

Don't you guys read the news? There had been a number of high profile robberies and robbery/murders of WGs in 141. The "Phoenix girl killer" brought terror to all 141 WGs a couple of years ago. The robbers usually had a session before they took out the knife. 141s are the easy target because anyone can come and go, whereas hotel girls you need to leave your number with the pimp beforehand which makes it much harder to get away.

Are the WG allowed to take up kung fu?  It sounds like a vast majority of them might need to start stocking up on sticks and baseball bats to start dealing with these people.  However kung fu is much better at dealing with such people.

You are right, often the pimps take nearly all the gold and in some cases especially with some of the new girls they hold their passports so that they can't change pimps.

There has always been such a big stigma, that pimps are so dangerous, you would NOT want to mess with them, they have gang-related contacts, they have weapons, are ruthless etc etc.  But reading the replies above in this forum, it seems as HK pimps are just pussies after money - who will tolerate an indicident or two in the name of making more money in the future and will not acutually fight back even if provoked

I agree, I seen the movies where an innocent looking asian girls kicks somebodies asss. You would not at all expect it. You never actually know and certainly cannot judge a person by looking at them. Everybody has a bit of self-defense in them.
In fact, in a large part of the west, girls get special self-defense classes at school. Nothing stupid about that.

it was sometime last year when i visited a wg at around 1am for an incall in vancouver actually when i first heard of stories of robberies at these micros. from what that wg told me, he was kind of suspicious on the phone asking whether she was the only one available. once they confirmed she was the only one, the punter came up with another dude, and since she was the only one working, the other guy said he will just wait.

so one guy enters into the room with her and starts to get down to business, taking off her clothes and all and after she is naked, pulls a knife on her and the two proceed to rob her. luckily she wasn't hurt, but it was kind of terrifying when i heard the story. not sure what its like there now, but last year was pretty bad in vancouver with several of these stories popping up.

also, on another note, there was a wg that i believed worked in a massage parlour that went missing for a few days and was eventually found in an abandoned car.

so it would seem in vancouver at least, although there is great talent to be had, the scene is also getting a little bit dangerous.
