so, i go thru my routine of dl porn and i notice that im almost running out of space on my comp. i go thru my porn archives to see which ones i should delete and i notice i have ALOT of porn, about 400gb worth! anyways, i go and try to delete some, but i forgot what the clips are about, so i watch it to see what it is. as i watch it, i say to myslf "ahh, yes, i remember this, this is a good scene" and i dont delete, and go to find something else. in the end, i notice that i barely deleted anything. i have no idea why i keep them, since i rarely ever go back to watch them again, but i just cant get myslf to delete. i even have scenes from almost 10yrs ago!!!

do any of you bros do this also? just wondering if this may be a hoarding problem. i saw a special on the discovery channel or something a while ago about people who hoard stuff, and they seem to not be able to control themselves. i dont think im at that point yet, cuz i wont go apeshit if i do delete some of my porn.

you're a hoarder alright. Just go delete them. They're plenty of free porn on the net nowadays, if you want to see them, you can always just log on and watch. I only have like 2 porn movies on my comp and the rest I watch free via the internet. Wahts the point of keeping so much porn. The key is to downsize your porn collection AFTER you finish masturbating.

If you just can't bear to part with your porn might I suggest getting an external hard drive. A terabite 1000gigs is under US$100 these days, or you could get a hard drive docking station and hot swap your external drives. Then you could build your own library. Nothing wrong with hoarding porn imho.

I recommand dual hard drive that has a R.a.i.d. feature.  
R.a.i.d. makes a copy of your hard drive, so you always have at least one drive with the information on it.  For your favorite porn pieces that you are keeping I'd put it on a flash drive.

While I haven't amassed a collection of porn the size bizzyb has, I've also got the same problem with discarding videos from my hard drive.  The free porn offered on streaming sites aren't really to my liking because the quality doesn't appear nearly as good as it would an .avi file, etc.  I really ought to get an external harddrive as some of you have suggested.

i do have an external hd, but i dont want to buy anymore. i have flashdrives too, but i will prbly never put porn on them, in case someone wants to borrow it haha! man, these high def mov/scenes are to blame. movies in 720p are over 4gb and 30min scenes are about 1gb. they take soo much space, but hd porn =

I completely understand and I find it must easier to delete after having a wank to them... maybe there is a guilt factor.  It is really easy to find good quality porn steaming websites now so there is no real need to really store anything more on your hard drive anymore.. maybe expect tagging pages in your favourites.  Another tip is to categorise your porn and then just keep the best of each category.

Definitly in the same boat as you mate. I try to clear "data" from my 1tb HD and get nowhere. I hoard like hell. I know there is always new stuff, but i also remember the good old stuff that i don't want to lose. I know ill probably won't watch it again, but just can't do it. Also just want to delete the entire folder and start fresh. There is also so much there i haven't even watched...

I have my own stash on the PC. I just measured mine, about 120GB in photos and videos. It is my nature to hoard things.

I may be older than a lot of folks here but when at uni I used to have a stack of magazines rather than a computer.

Heh... porn is why I have 5 usb harddrives....
I've got about 1.2 terabytes of porn....

And I've run out of space....   
Lately I've been deleting like 20-30 gigs at a time... but it just refills in a few days...

The method I delete, is just delete those that I haven't seen in a while...
Most of the time, I don't bother "reviewing" the video, because then I might want to keep them all....
Also, I try to trim down collections of porn actresses...

Usually, if I find an actress that I like, I grab all their videos....
Now I just keep only 2 or 3 of my favorite movie of said actress, instead of 15-20....

Anyways, I feel the pain of the original poster....
I just got a new laptop yesterday.... cleaning out harddrives.... sigh....   

I have the same problem when it comes to hoarding porn.  Its so difficult to delete some of it.  Even thought you never watch most of it, I just dont want to delete it in case I ever want to go back to it.  But some of the older stuff looks so bad compared to whats available today.  I have an external HD but its filling up as well.  Do I delete the stuff or get another HD? lol.  Need to do some cleaning to free up some space.

I have about 3 boxes of old porn magazines. For vhs, and DVD, I have about 300. Most of the porn are from a few friend gave them to me free before getting married. They don't want their wives to see them for some reason.  

For computer stuff, hard drives are cheap and take very little space compared to magazines and tapes.

I just recently tried selling them but there is not a really a big market for vhs, magazines etc. I need to try again.

I have a 250gig usb harddrive ( 80% of the content is porn ).

I just collect local and foreign scandals and some sexy pics but usually i watch porn on pornsites.

The church will burn them and me alive.  

I remember there was a pron shop in a small city near my College, many Christian were demonstrating in front from time to time. Many Christian are Anti-Porn.

Just use a simple, objective rule for deleting.  If you haven't watched a certain file within the last 1, 2, 3 years (pick your number) then delete it.  Fast and effective and you don't get sucked in.

Also, deleting AFTER you've jackoffed, as someone else said, is helpful!

I've noticed, once the porn is gone, I find it is very difficult to find that video again on the net.  So I'd keep porn I think that is really good on DVD, maybe file lock it with another program so it doesn't accidently get looked at by the wrong people.  A dvd burner plus a stack of DVD for the really good stuff.

The problem with deleting some of the older files that haven't been watched in recent x years/time is finding them again on the net. Someone mentioned earlier that the quality of porn streaming websites is usually worse than that .avi files and I agree with that. So deleting = losing out on quality and content
