I have no problems with "dark-skinned".   I think the darker girls would be a nice change of pace for guys living in HK and China.  And 26-30 doesn't seem that old - at least to some of us   Too bad these were guys.  Reporting to the police seems like a bad idea though - I would hate to risk losing my China visa.  But the little snippet does not say if the filipinos were hookers or if the foreign guys thought they were picking up a freebie one nighter.  That could make a difference on whether to report to the police or not.

I think it would be fairer to say that gwailo collectively love all meat.  I don't think we have the same prejudices against the filipinas, thais, malays, etc. that many Chinese seem to.  It's not that we don't like Chinese girls...  It's just that we don't ONLY like Chinese girls.  And filipinas hold a special charm for gwailo like me who cannot speak any Chinese...  We can talk with them!

That's true to a certain extent - many european/western countries with mostly gweilo are a lot less homogenuous than a lot of Asian countries in the East - so therefore other cultures are accepted more, hence intermarrying/dating etc

Another reason to go with Filipino girls over Chinese is they are a better lay.  They shave their pussy, have far less hang ups about sex, know how to properly dfk and bbbj, and are more likely to take it up the ass.  It's too bad the Chinese guys can't overcome their prejudices to partake in higher quality sex.

Just IMHO - but discussions about race is probably not a good thing.  Not when it is laced with prejudices and bigotry etc.

There are a great number of residents in HK who enjoy hooking up with Filipinos in Wan Chai bars. I'm guessing it's the same in Shanghai. The guys report to the police because they were robbed doing their usual Friday night thing...

Could be guys had no choice in it being reported, like when house maid finds punter unconscious in hotel room. As said before it may also have been "supposed" to be a freebie.

There are numerous reports of similar drug/steal scams all over the world, although using real women more common. Sometimes these can be fatal if accidental overdose (exacerbated by alcohol).

I just hope for the sake of those victims in your news story they didn't also wake up with a sore arse.

I'm 100% in agreement with you on this post. So much of our life is determined by our circumstance of birth. It's all about treating everyone with equal respect. Simply treat everyone you meet as you would like to be treated and we will all share the benefits.

I never even thought my first post as having been tinged with racism when I first posted it. Nope!!

If you ever get to know me, you'll find that I am - I guess as a product of my circumstances/upbringing -  a very non-racist person.

But re-reading that first post - I of course now see the racist slant in it - and gives me pause to think about how I sometimes come across.You see, I am a bit of a boisterous character who SOMETIMES Can have too little regard for other's sensitivities.

It is funny. Westerners risk cancer by lying in the sun all day to get a nice brown tan while Asians cover up. I love brown skin.   It's nothing racial - just looks better.

Racism isn't just about skin colour, you know... Are you saying that to you it would appear less ridiculous if it were Asian-Caucasian type of racism?

I don't understand what youngmc is trying to say either.  Racism is racism in my mind.

Now, if someone prefers a chinese girl to a filipino girl, then I would not call that racism.  We all have our preferences and should be open minded about that.  SEAJ's first comment does not seem very open minded but I think he has explained his comment sufficiently.

I have mongered with nearly all races (black, white, indian, chinese, thai, korean and latinas) and girls from many ethnic backgrounds (too many to count but briefly, USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Korea, China, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, all over Europe and eastern Europe, India) but I definitely prefer asian girls (all countries), latinas and caucasians.  I have been with black and indian girls and its fun but I am less attacted to these girls.  But I would not consider myself a racist b/c of this.  If I read some great reviews on an Indian or Black girl, then I will be tempted to try them out.  

I often pick asian girls b/c I know that I do get better service b/c I am asian and particularly with korean girls since I am korean as well.  They feel more comfortable with me than with other races.  In the end, the level of service trumps a girl's ethnic or racial background.

What is funny is that lot of caucasian girls also prefer asian customers.    I have been told we are (in general) nicer and less demanding.  When mongering in Thailand and the FKKs in Germany, I do often see asian guys and we are much less likely to be drunk and rowdy.  I'm sure many girls prefer this.

I cannot claim to speak for youngmc91, but as a Westerner, I may understand the perspective underlying his comment.  I don't think he was attempting to justify any type of racism (at least I hope not).  The reason that it's "funny and strange" is that Westerners typically think of Asians as a group without making fine distinctions between Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, etc...To Westerners who have not had a lot of contact with Asians, what we notice is that they are different from us.  Distinctions between different Asian groups seem small by comparison to the differences with us, so to use these apparently small distinctions as the basis for prejudice just seems somehow...  a little silly...

I think it's a specific example of a more general notion...  Any group may seem quite homogenous when compared with people from any entirely different group.  But those within the group are attuned to the small differences...  and these differences can carry great meaning to them -- even if it seems funny and strange to us as distant observers.

This is the feeling I have when I view the discord between Irish Protestants and Catholics.  I always wonder, how do they tell each other apart?  Or Moslems and Sephardic Jews in the Middle East.  To my eye, there are so many similarities between the two ethnicities that I would expect them to be on the best of terms...  But, of course, it's exactly the opposite...

Human beings are funny animals...
