Can anyone with experience with these TG groups offer any tips or guidance?
Besides the B&S warning...
I found a whole bunch of these groups, and would like to try on my next upcoming visit to SZ. I don't know Mandarin though and just rely on the translation in TG.

First of all, there are insanely many posts on these groups. Are they all (or mostly) by agents? Is there any way to spot independents?
If I am interested in an outcall to a hotel, are there any particular phrases I should be looking for?

Do they accept payment in cash, or only wechat or other electronic means?

Any other info/tips would be highly appreciated, and reports will certainly be posted if anything materializes.

No specific experience with the sz groups, but I just returned from SH and used these groups twice. First time had an outcall, was asked for a mainland number/deposit, couldn't provide either but eventually the lady just called my HK number to confirm. But upon arrival it was either b&s or heavy Photoshop.

The second time the lady refused outcall so I just went to her place. She/the agent gave the name of the apt complex and when I arrived she gave further instructions to get to her room. Photo was much more accurate this time.

I'm my opinion it's mostly agents, and not quite sure how to reliably identify independents. Outcall is called 外出. If they don't offer they sometimes say 不外出 or just 不外. But if you just ask them they'll tell you straight away "你好 可以外出吗"

While some may accept electronic transfers, at least in sh most seem to prefer cash (deposits of course would be sent via wechatpay/alipay).

If you're going from HK then I highly recommend getting alipayhk and get verified using your hkid. Makes everyday life so much easier, and the app is in English. I also updated my wechat, linked my HK CC and was able to pay at restaurants using that too. But I mostly used it to pay for DiDi.

What else, both times I was asked to pay before the session. If you manage to get outcall make sure to confirm the extra charges, as the b&s lady asked for 300 which literally could get you from one end of sh to the other.

Also some of these tg groups won't allow you to copy the message so you can't put it into Google translate, so what I did was using another phone to take a photo and have Google translate that. Lastly be aware of the China firewall, get yourself a SIM from HK that works in China. Then because of the server would be in HK so you can keep using Google/YouTube/telegram

I see that in the SZ groups they commonly use some variation of "上门外卖" or just "上门" that I guess also means outcall. The translation has lots of other mysterious sounding terms, most of them are easy to guess, though.

I do have WeChat pay and a mainland phone number, but would prefer to not give out the number (as it's associated with my passport) or do electronic payments to avoid leaving such traces. Cash is less convenient, but safer for such activities.
Did they actually want to receive an electronic deposit payment? That might be a deal-breaker for me, I don't mind paying upfront once the lady is already in my room though.

Tbh my mandarin is pretty awful, however if I had to guess, 上门外卖 might mean incall and outcall are both available.

If you don't want to give your phone number or deposit, most likely you'll have to do incall and with only 1 shot. In sh the outcall I had booked with the Viet girl (in English) didn't require deposit, while the PRC b&s girl did.

Most independents will advertise as 个人 兼职 开课 上课

课表 = menu
P/一次 = 1 shot
PP/两次 = 2 shot
包夜/夜课 = overnight

Check their profile for their channel link, you can spot photoshops a mile away so use precaution, use can ask the provider for a video verification(验证) too but this might require a tip.

Providers requesting deposits are a deterrence for no shows.

Also instead of Chinese characters, they like to use emojis too. For example outcall can be advertised as 上
