The Mezzanine floor is an intermediatory floor, normally between G/F and 1/F.

As it is only a "half" floor, its number is not counted towards the building's total number of floors.

Welcome to the forum, by the way

Meh its hard enough to find which floor it is never seen the M/F floor though , since theres no floor 4 , 13 , 14, 24, 34 44, 54 etc and the ground floor is considered to be the 1st floor also.

Life is short very...

In some retail buildings the G/F is called 1/F sometimes, but most buildings start at G.

Have you ever noticed the difference between the Chinese and English floor numbers? In older buildings that use Chinese characters you will see 1/F 二樓 (first floor in English, second in Chinese)

like princeandnpg has said,
M/F is usually the level immediately above the ground level..

in old buildings, M/F usually has no lift access.
if you take the lift.. u can only see G/F - 1/F - 2/F, etc..
so to access the M/F, u have to walk up the stairs.
