How did you find this site?
I found it about a week ago, but once I saw that lack of search just bookmarked it and didn't notice the details … until I got bored today and noticed the crazy pricing. I found it by chance. There was an ad on a different site for a girl that I interested in, but hesitant about because I couldn’t find any reviews or pictures to give any insight into what the real girl (i.e. non-photoshopped) looked like. Her name on the ads was not in Thai, so I tried a few searches for "her name + area", "her name + hotel", etc. to see if I could find a new site that might have more reviews. I don’t remember which search brought this back though.
Wanting to know more about this dictated my plans for the night. I had been planning to take a break prior to heading down to Pattaya this week, but my curious nature won out and I had to find out if the girls were aware. That bkkescorts4you website had a few girls that I had bookmarked on fiwfans (the “someday I’ll visit them” list), so I used that as a starting point and then took an educated guess at which one would be most likely to be a good conversationalist (a/k/a throwing a virtual dart at a virtual dartboard). I’ll likely do a report on her when time permits, but was fortunate enough to have picked a girl who was attractive, fun in bed and fun to hang out with. She also gave me her LINE so she could share contact info for her Pattaya friends, so even better.
Back on topic so I don't turn this into a report … after round one, we cozied up for a chat. I didn’t need to bring up the topic - within a few minutes she asked how I found her, assuming it was fiwfans. Seizing the opportunity, I pulled up both sites on my phone. She was annoyed with the fake pictures of her, but was pretty interested in this topic.
What did I learn:
-- She was aware of a number of the sites and TG groups, but had never heard of bkkescorts4you.
-- Despite not knowing the site, she was well aware of the higher pricing. The agents must be in in on this bkkescorts4you website and indirectly then, so are the girls.
-- She didn’t know why some customers were paying more, but didn’t particularly care because she benefits from it.
-- In a very interesting discussion, she shared details of what customers pay, the agent/girl split, etc. for both those paying inflated prices and normal prices. Really interesting stuff – it almost won out over going for a second shot.
Not quite, but almost …
-- For the guys paying the inflated prices, the girl does keep a much higher amount. However, the agent gets a much higher percentage of the incremental cost. From her point of view, it’s more money for the same amount of work … so all good.
-- The bulk of her customers obviously come from the lower priced sites. However, the number coming from the higher priced sites was not inconsequential. It’s hard for me to give a split as she was going really fast on her phone notes with all of the details that she was showing me, but there were a good number of higher paying customers.
I tried to ask her if she knew why customers would pay more for no reason. She didn't know, but she told me a good story to explain her thoughts. She pulled out two tubes of lube and said ... "Sometimes I go out and pay 120 baht for one and sometimes I order online and only pay 250 baht for 4. Why? Sometimes people just decide to." For someone who said she had horrible English, she did a great job with the storytelling part here - with me being the foreign speaker in the room, that effort on her part was great, not to mention entertaining. I guess the message she was conveying to me was ... up to you.
Who knows if the information on bkkescorts4you is correct, but looking at that lottery section, there are a fair number of entries which implies they are doing okay. What she shared indicates that same. It may not have a big impact in the short term, but it is a bad sign and can’t do anything to help overall prices. I’m sure the local market will help offset that to a large degree, but still a bad sign. The fewer people that know about finfans, dek-sideline, etc. the worse off everyone eventually will be. Spread the word I guess.
While this site is bad news, I guess the silver lining is that it provided me with a fun homework assignment. Sometimes curiosity kills cats; sometimes it has a more pleasant ending.
Side note … I’ve gotten into the routine of taking a long walk after every session. Tonight, I walked back home and took the Sukhumvit 11 detour. No real attempt at hiding the open bars. The noise and the lights in the “construction site” and in the normal bar area can’t be missed. If by some chance you do miss those signals, even a small gust of wind will blow back the cheap plastic tarp used to block the view and expose it all. If you need a sledgehammer-like signal, there are numerous young girls trying to usher you in and old guys (who seem to be in charge) trying to convince you to go into "the bar" (their words). For me personally, it’s not worth the risk of being they guy they choose to make an example of and arrest, so I only casually walked by but many others took the opposite approach and were game for a night out. I walked by about 7:55pm and there was no indication things were going to wind down for the 8pm business closing mandate ... but if you're running a bar that is supposed to be closed 24/7 without concern, no need to worry about curfew I suppose.
