hk hotels

Hi,

I might be lucky enough to come back to HK later this month. I was there last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope to have the same good fortune this time again. I did some searching but I still have some questions and I hope to get some advice from some of you who are much more knowledgeable about the local situation.

I stayed in Wanchai before but I am thinking of Mong Kok this time. I have pretty well decided on the Evergreen Hotel in Yau Ma Tai as it seems to be conveniently located but I'm wondering if anyone has any info about this place? It seems I read some time ago that all HK hotels are guest friendly but I'd hate to book a place that is not.

I'm also planning to go to Shenzhen and/or Zhuhai for a few days. Any ideas on how long it takes to process a visitor visa for a short visit there? I believe I read that can be done using hotel services or a local travel agent.

I will post reports for the group in return for some good advice.

as far as I have heard only the very top end exclusive hotels may not be so guest friendly, but this just means you would need to escort the WG up to your room  .... they just don't let the WGs wander around on their own.

Can't believe you would have any problems with the Evergreen, or any hotels around YMT or MK .... Anyway see if any Bros havemore info.
