Have recently heard a few good stories about Dongguan. Its a crazy place with choice of many girls in the KTV and sauna establishments. I am definately going to try. Seems so expensive here i.e. a nice hotel girl is 800 for 1 hour whereas there you can have a better girl for 600 for the night. Has anyone been there and can you offer any advice please? I mean its really not that far away i.e. 2 hrs on the train so really not that sure why its not more popular amongst the HK mongers - It never even gets a mention.

Too much hassle. Most of the posts are for in and around HK. Something you can fit in your daily/weekly schedule rather than needing time off or planning a weekend bender.

I know Dongguan is bustling just now and agree with you alot of girls.....
Probably more pussy per Sq. ft in Shenzhen just now.....
I think most bros here havent ventured Dongguan yet because of hassle of getting there.......then arriving and dont know where to go.....possibility of getting ripped off or robbed or getting coaxed into scams. Hk is safer.........
Agree with you in being cheaper and hell of a lot more girls to choose.....I have been to Shenzhen on a number of occasions but not yet to Dongguan. Still having fun where i go.........
Newbies to China should go in a group or go with a group of friends who have been before.....anyway its no fun going to KTV by yourself.....
Once all connections have been made then going up by yourself is no problem .....

I used to go on speical occasions..IE annual monger trips of friends from overseas.   It is a lot of hassle, takes at least 3 hours from my house to destination.  Though i have to agree, you can get a girl for overnight for the same price as one pop in the hotel here.  If I have a whole weekend to spare and not in a rush, I will prob go again.  The mamasan are way too pushy though and learn to say no  to a girl you dont like.

Yep......Have experienced in the past but i tend that happens usually if you are new to the place..

The hardest part is after the numerous line ups within the room .i.e. 9-10 girls per lineup X....

You dont see any you `Really` like (you become more fussy in china ).....the mama will take you to one of the many rooms where the girls hangout.....or if overflow of girls they hang around in the stairways too.....
Inside each room is `All eyes` on you.....50/60 girls per room.......very hard to pick and you do feel intimidated.....

I never had the chance to go pick from the backroom yet, but I know its possible.  I hate the lineup where you just glance at a girl and the mamasan will force her to sit next to you.  I usually just tell the mamasan up front do not force me to sit with any girl and they usually leave me alone.

I have been going to Dougguan for about 1year now usually 0nce a month. Reasons why I love it? Coz its a lot more for your money and when you get your time schedule worked out its really quick. I can make a door to door (HK island to hotel) in 2hrs. 10mins to Hung Hom railway, board the express 1hr train and 10min taxi from station to Hotel.

Only problem for me right now is that fcuking visa policy, before on a business visa great just a lot of chops on the passport but now its expensive. I just love that Macau style KTVs and always get hammered with the girls. Not as good a choice as Macau of course but half the price and usually get an overnight stay. Some hotels are really high quality as well as some older ones but the room sizes are always generous. There's also many Saunna's and that's really the best place to start as they always follow a standard service and you just sit back and enjoy the ride. Its 2hrs instead of macau 1hr, twice the time half the cost. One thing they are never short of is girls only young girls not like HK. Its getting a room that's often difficult, but I get the feeling it ok now as we are all feeling the gobal slowdown and first expense cut is mongering.

First timers get really put off, too many stories but it is a very money grabbing place but you're only talking 100's not 1.000's. Once you get it and know all the potential troubles, it great fun. Weekends get infested by Hkers weekdays more the Shz business crowds and many foriegners from Japan, Korea and Malaysia. I have not seen many westerners tough. English won't get you very far and really should go with someone to show you the ropes.

My earlier trips costs 3,000RMB includes eating out, decent hotel one night, KTV 7pm to 12pm -ish usually take 2-3 girls, pick one girl for overnight stay and one saunna visit. Nowadays it's more 4,500 RMB coz I do threesomes and start friday instead of saturday. Always back on Sunday night 7pm ish.

There are also some cheaper options and you can go really cheap but haven't tried, my mate is too particular. You can pick some farm girls straight from the countryside no service just a dead fish $150 one shag. I once had a northerner tall, milk skin, just have to be a bit rough wih her as they don't really know anything. Oh you need to barter, its really a human cattle market.

After that time we go for the better service.

Though i may stress it is on the uphill and catching up to Dongguan prices..

Cheers Puff, I heard a lot of, well guys I know, goes a bit further out like you do. Where abouts and what are the differences. You've obviously done Chang Ping then?? I heard there a district for Japs and Koreans, I think I know it and the girls charge more but suppose to be better quality. You hear anything like that??

Chang ping once and that was a long time ago . Never heard of the Jap & Korean district then but may feel that this area now the price should be on the up..
Quality most def yep also i may add maybe more gold diggers. Do i sound harsh or should i say its gonna be more mechanical....
Also been to `Weizhou`...dont know if thats how you spell it but its about 50min by minibus from Lo Hua.....
Really not developed much then and dont know as i have not been back yet......
The area we were in.....most buildings were not clustered together and not many concrete paths and some roads....
Line markings on road.......what markings!!....Jumping in the taxi was like playing chicken!! (who would swerve first)
Really cheap though and KTV for the whole night was around 900rmb........about 7 guys.....& to ask the girl to leave or change another was just $50rmb....
1Q short time was $100-$150rmb and overnight was $400rmb.....
