Photos: How to efficiently adjust size and clear pics from all devices

Q: Title says it all. For Photog Bros, how do you efficiently adjust size and clear pics from all devices?

This last report was a bit dicey as I forgot my burner. Took photos on iphone, had to jump through hurdles in Preview and had sizing issues (adjusted size were not as claimed when uploaded via 141).

It took me almost an hour to do go from step A to Z. Hopefully, all pics are clean, but doesn't icloud and dropbox hold deleted photos for 30 days? How do I make sure this is deleted too?

Workflow suggestions would be appreciated especially for those that use Macs.

I took pics in Iphone. Did adjustments in Mac laptop.

Even though I deleted from Photos, when I just opened my Ipad, I temporarily saw the pics on my IPad. Thank goodness it was not accessible at the time--but that was close and could have been...not good.

Lesson: Probably best just to use burner from now on...

Some working notes for Mac OSX users (and myself as I learn along the way) on how to establish a clean and efficient workflow for taking, cropping, and deleting pics.

Precautionary habits:
1) Use separate user account on Mac. This should prevent Apple ICloud and DropBox from grabbing your photos and allows an additional measure of security.
2) If you happen to use the same user account:
A) Make sure to delete not just from Iphoto albums, but from your "Recently Deleted" Album.
B) Make sure you delete from all "Recently Deleted" Album's that you worked with! Deleting from just your laptop will not delete from your phone or iPad. Maybe this is oldhat to some vets here, but this was new to me.
3) Ditto for Dropbox.

What to do for downsizing?
Currently have been using Preview. But it crashes from time to time, and I still don't have a good handle on picture locations from recent imports.  Still working on this one...

A worthwhile thread!

I've almost come unstuck a couple of times! For the most part it's great that an iPhone syncs to iPad/iMac but potential for trouble!

I turn the iCloud setting off... I manually sync my phone to computer once certain photos have been deleted - from the photo roll and recently deleted folders as you say.

As for the resizing, I just downloaded an app for the iPhone called SimpleResize.

Very easy to use and free. Upon opening you can select a photo from you library, choose the resize quality, save, and the new down sized image appears in your photo library. Easy!

For ones that I want to keep... Theres various apps, the ones I've used are 'keep safe' and 'photo vault' - you can use a 4 digit pin to access or thumb print on the devices that have this tech.

Hope that helps!
