I tried to go punting over the weekend and it was so hard.  What happned to all the WG?  Did they all retire?  I reached out to many this week and no bite.   Are all the WG being the following? 1)  go back to china for golden week holiday?  SO, they leave early 2)  Retire or change profession.  I know one is retired to be a sercurity guard.  A few, I cannot reach and the telephone number is cancelled.  I guess that is closed for business. 3)  The rent for 141 room is going up so much that the WG quit the business What do you think?

Punting is legal but working without a government-issued Work Visa is not ... so we have the somewhat bemusing situation where police check on the sex trade not because girls are selling sex, but because they're selling a service...   Actually it's reasonable to assume the police use the Visa Checks as a proxy for limiting the (very illegal) pimping.
