This in including ALL of China and Macau. If I had to guess, I would say at least 90% or more will be opened. #4 Post at 21-1-2014 16:25  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Two things to keep in mind about visiting mainland during CNY: Sometimes people who serve you expect red pockets (basically red envelopes with money) depending on usual practice of the place you go to, so don't be surprised if you find them asking for more tips Many people (male and female) return home during CNY so there may be fewer choices as Weelock has said CNY is last day of January but people have already started leaving for home (to avoid the congestion). The choices should become more limited the closer you are to CNY and be back to normal around late Feb - early March. Hope you have a fun trip!
