How is Bar 109 in the after noon? What time does it get exciting at night?

Sunday is quite busy MOST of the day.....can vary ...

Week days/saturday doesn't open till 6pm ,ish and NOTHING gets going until 10/11 pm .

Unless the "fleet " is in town and everything changes , as all the clubs and bars ...

Supply and demand ..

you're asking about racism

The truth about racism is that it happens all the time.  I'd say that anyone who denies being racist is probably more racist than most ... we all feel more comfortable with familiar faces, and make judgements about others that we're not even conscious we're making.  You could even say that affirmative action is a form of racism ... and I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just saying it's a constant fact of life.  

It can work against you.  Anyone who has never experienced rejection or racial criticism has never travelled.  

And, truth be told, it can work for you.  Either because you fit in and people assume they can trust you.  Or it works in your favour precisely because you look different and people assume you have superpowers.  They also want to try something new.  

But the other truth about racism is that Hong Kong is much less racist than pretty much any other culture or city I've ever visited.  Hong Kong is extremely multi-cultural and cosmopolitan, from food to drinks to social settings and even policing.  Go for it.  If you get rejected assume it's just one shortsighted idiot, and politely go talk to someone else.  

Hong Kong can be exceedingly racist - even Chinese distrusting other Chinese.  Most of the places in Hong Kong that practice extreme racism are private clubs that are so private you won't even hear about them unless you've already been profiled and are invited to visit ... so don't worry too much ... just go about your business with self-confidence and respect for others, and you'll probably attract the same from the people you meet.

Is it better to go by yourself or with friends?

It depends on when you go. If the club is packed on an early Sunday afternoon, you can go it alone. There are plenty of girls near or against the bar looking for company.  Even when you walk to the saloon door urinal area there are girls around.

What I asking is it safe to go alone?

Haha... Unless you afraid of being raped by sex hungry filipinos, yes its totally safe to go there. Of course this is in the event you dont act like an idiot or start bothering your neighbour like in any other bar... Goes wihthout saying...

Wow brother have you ever been to HK?  I have been to lots of big cites all over the world and Wanchai is about as stress free as it gets. Nobody will bother you. I see more Indo's than Pinays though.

I found 109 is in full stride Sunday morning about 8-9 AM. Lots of Indo DH's coming in on thei day off at that time looking to make some extra cash. By noon people are filtering out to go eat. A few end up over at Queen Vic. Never been there at night.
