In other countries the appartments often have a'maid' that sits in the kitchen. Also the fact that they are paid after the deed also amazes me. What happens if a customer decides not to pay?

You'd be surprised how fast they act if someone doesn't pay, causes trouble, etc. The ones where I live has the pimps standing outside them, and usually a gang hanging around closeby, esp. at night. From what a massage girl told me in TST last year; don't pay = you get beat up, and then forced to pay. Last time I ever heard of WGs being in "real trouble" was a few years ago back in 2008 I believe, when 4 or 5 working girls from the Mainland were murdered in their flat here in Tai Po... some local guy in the area told me about it.. apparently there were 2 people responsible, one was caught trying to flee to Macau with the dead WG's mobile phones on him, ... and the other one I have no idea. Those coming from overseas are not troublemaker. They come in peace, pay and go. After all you are a tourist who have spending power. Unlike other countries, we behave!!! Only a few/exception idiots, but they always get caught by the police or the local mob, easily. But I must say, punting scene is HK is one of the safest in the world. Punters are very polite here. I say 'possibly' only because the girl would have consented at the time (although she would have been misled) so may not be rape. Regardless of the exact legal classification, the chance of getting your weener chopped off by a machete chasing group of triads probably is the best way to ensure nobody steps out of line.
