I know this is not exactly Hong Kong but was wondering if there are some experts that can help me (or point me to the appropriate place) with this as all the info I found here for Hong kong got me started .

I have got a couple of weeks in Thailand for the 1st time punting (have been once before with ex and kids).

My needs are few, a hotel that I can walk to the action (thinking Soi Cowboy?) and WG friendly (not charge extra even if I book for 2 people).
I am also looking for a something like the Makati, more a night club than a gogo bar (I persume in a gogo bar the girls dance and we sit and watch/drink or do they have a dance floor like a night club) God I do sound like newbie (which i am to this).
I am only interested in getting pissed & porking attarctive women not ladyboys and speaking of that any tips on avoiding them (apart from grabbing thier crotch).

Thanks for the links and bits, I have floundered my way through thosands of websites and settled on Nana plaza, booked a hotel a short walk away. Like the sound of the nightclub/bar scene more than the gogo bars (but will still visit them) not into massage parlours
(never tried a palour but the foot massage I got in Taiwan has put me off a massage for life)

Still a bit unsure as I am traveling solo (no problems in HK as I visit there regularly) but this is new ground to me as I never went near any of these area's with the ex. But a bit of dutch courage to start and cute pussy will fix that Im sure. Any one know of a good bar for getting a drink, playing some pool and maybe meet up with some expats to get onsite info before throwing myself to the wolves. I understand that there are some on the ground floor of Nana plaza any recommendations?

I have a feeling that the scene in Bangkok is a bit harder edged than Hk, I prefer the GFE (even if they are faking it) which is probably why I hang out at the Makati, Neptune 2 and dont go to walk ups. Hopefully it will be similar to what I experienced in Hk.

I do have one more questions when drinking in the bars (and lady drinks) can you pay as you go?
I have read that you get a cup & they put slips in and you settle when you leave (also leaving you open to get scammed).

You might wanna try the Pattaya addicted forums website...obviously many info there on pattata bars, hotels etc but also on BKK and other areas

Just a quick update, I have survived my visit unscathed and ended up with the best GFE and stayed with the one girl for 9 days, and the funny thing she is a gogo girl and I spent all my time in gogo bars and only went to a night club twice.
It always pays to have an open mind and try most things at least once (ladyboys not included in this statement) you just dont know what to about somethings till you try them.

Stayed at the Citadines apartment/hotel in Soi 11.
I had no problems at all, just dont get completly wasted and stick to bottles if you are concerned about someone slipping you something

Those apartments look great and not expensive too.
