Hey how often do new walkups open?  The ones I've been too look like they've been around for centuries.  Do walkups just creep into a building one-by-one?  Or does the landlord wake up with a boner one day and decide to convert his building? Here's the point: if new walkup buildings do open from time-to-time, is there a way to know and give these places a spin?  All in the spirit of exploration!
